The next day, Ciel insisted you stay in bed. Speaking that you were tired on the ride home, he didn't want to push you to be by his side if you didn't want to. While laying in bed, you realized the truth of this. Literally, everywhere he went, you were there, cheering him on, sitting by him, making him feel like he had someone to lean on, but the fact that he wanted you to stay behind, kind of made you sad.

There was a book on your nightstand. You picked it up and examined the cover. It was titled: For the Life I've Lived by a local author. You began to read.

"Maria, you have yet to tell me why you want to leave to London. Our life is fine here in the country." Maria continued to step away from me, her ruby hair I've grown to love blowing freely in the breezes that swept a salty smell from the nearby sea. "George... there is a better life for me there... and here, in the country, it's not the life I've wished to live." She opened her palms, letting an object fall to the grassy plains. Continuing to walk toward the carriage, I trailed after her, my eyes wide and unbelieving. "Maria!" She shuffled into the carriage, gave the cab a knock, and she was off. I hugged my shoulders, then looked to the patch of grass the object fell into. Examining it closer, I realized it was her wedding ring. Seeing the bright diamond center, my eyes could hold no longer. I wept like a child, calling to the heavens to bring my Maria back.

"Mistress? Are you alright?" Sebastian pokes at your forehead. Your eyes, glistening with tears, looked up at him. You hadn't realized you were crying, despite the many wet spots on the pages of the book. "I-I..." Sebastian smiled. "For the Life I've Lived, correct? Truly a beautiful story. Sadly, you spoiled the ending for yourself." He grabbed for his handkerchief, giving it to you to wipe your eyes. "A Mistress shouldn't cry." He smiled. "My Young Master wanted me to check on you. Yet, you seem to be a lot brighter today than yesterday. If I may..." He paused, slightly pulling your shirt up, exposing your stomach. Your eyes widened, then softened as you realized he was trying to get at your arm. Pulling it from the sleeve, you watched along with him. The brand new purple tattoo on your arm was slightly glowing, tugging your skin in the direction of Sebastian. You winced a little,  the tattoo hurting and stinging as it pulsed down your arm. A small snake wrapped around your arm in a spiral of black ink. Sebastian could only smile. "Such a beautiful marking, correct? The Young Master has asked for it to show your beauty, as well as his name."

A small chuckle escaped him.

"Little do you know, my Mistress..." Sebastian begins to loom awful close, his breath being felt upon your neck. You jumped a bit, feeling his words hit your neck in a small wave of hot breath. "For such a beautiful being, it's hard for someone like myself to keep from falling for a mortal...~"

You froze, unable to speak. "S-Seba... Sebasti... Sebastian..." He chuckled, pulling at your lip between his index finger and thumb. "Ah ah... manners, Mistress. No drooling. Please, you sound like my young Lord after an asthma attack."

You grumbled a little, beginning to freeze. " 'Mm nut droolinf! Dff nut funneh!" He smiled. "Or talk with your mouth full?" You folded your arms, snatching your head away.

"Such a doll." He replaced your shirt, gave you a smile and walked to the bathroom. "If you'd like to get up, the Master has asked me to assist you with a bath. Would you like to get up for the day?"

You thought for a second, looking at the book. Ciel would be happy if I was the opposite of Maria... wouldn't he?

Sebastian chuckled and scooped you from the bed. "I'll take that positively. Don't steal my Master away from me now~"

...

After your bath, Sebastian, blindfolded, of course, dressed you in a white dress with red sequins and little roses. He then walked you to Ciel's study.

<<Ciel's POV>>

"Come in."

"_________ is ready for you, Master." Sebastian called to me.

"Thank you, invite her in." I nodded. Internally, I was smiling, but the nerve of Sebastian, and having known him, he would sense it, and make fun.

When she walked in, I was taken away. "_________.... You look stunning."

She blinked at me, then smiled. "Thank you, Ciel. You look very dapper today. Do you have a meeting?" I shook my head. "No, not on a Tuesday. I had a tutor come today for violin practice. Truly I hate it." Her eyes widened. She must really enjoy violin. It seems what I've said struck a chord.

"Of course, if you'd like me to..." Careful Ciel... choose your words carefully. "... I would continue taking the lessons, just so I could play you a song." Her eyes brightened at this. I couldn't help but smile. "Come."

She slowly walks over to me, hugging my arm. My view was locked outside, watching the afternoon slowly swim by. She began to turn her attention out the window too, then she asked the strangest thing.

"What if... I was like Maria...? Would you run after me?"

I paused, looking down at her. "Maria...? Did you read that book? Of course, I would. I lo-..." She watched me chew my lip. Was I really really ready to admit this? Are my words right?

"Y-You lo?" She asked.

I swallowed my pride and smiled, taking my chair and sitting her in it. I dug into a drawer, taking out a small black box. "Of course. I suppose I can't hold it back then."

Her eyes widened, eyeing the black box with undying interest. Her (eye color) eyes searching the box, then me, as I took a knee. "It's been fun, being friends. I never knew I would feel this way again... and I'm glad I do, especially with you... and I want to keep it that way... The necklace I gave you... it used to belong to my mother. I want you to keep it... and..." I chewed my lip a little more.

Her eyes were full of interest, excitement, and confusion. It was a very adorable mix of emotions worn on her face. "...and I want you to become a mother figure. One that I've only had for so long, yet one I can keep. _______... I give you this ring, and I ask... will you be my Lady Phantomhive?"

<<Your POV>>

Ciel had just asked for your hand. You had no idea how to react. He wanted you to become a mother, meaning he was willing to spend the rest of his mortal life with you. You couldn't help but feel a small presence in the room, but thought nothing of it.

"Ciel... I..."

He opened the box, a small blue diamond in a silver set gleaming back at you.

You shook your head a bit, earning a small frown from Ciel. "I don't care about the ring, Ciel... I'm glad... Glad you want to marry me... so... Yes. I will... I will become your Lady Phantomhive."

His eyes widened, growing happy and excited. He then, with all his might, scooped you into his arms, giving you a deep, loving kiss, holding you in a warm and loving embrace. "Yes! My Lady Phantomhive! Yes!"

You smiled, seeing tears well into his eyes. You smiled, kissing below his eyes, his salty sweet tears melting onto your lips. "Ciel... I love you so much..."

"I love you too ________, Mi Amor."
