Farkle sat in class, not paying attention like he used to. He was too occupied with the thought of you. He scratched his head.
Why were you acting so strange? Maybe you haven't fully forgiven him since you did have a stubborn attitude.
Class finally ended and he was off to lunch.
'Hey Smackle,' Farkle slightly smiled at the girl as she walked out of her class.
'Still unease about (y/n) thing?' Smackle asked. Farkle sighed.
'Let's not think about it.' Smackle nodded. Farkle turns and saw you. He looked at you, shoulder slump, no dimples. She's been crying. Farkle tensed as he caught your eye. He quickly looked away as you walked over to Farkle.
'Hey,' you softly greeted. Farkle smiled but didn't look right in the eye.
'So, lunch?' Smackle asked, sensing the tension. Farkle nodded and head off. You look over to Smackle.
'Um...what's up with that?' Smackle laughed awkwardly.
'I beated him in this test for class and he's pretty upset,' You nod, sensing a bit of lying but shrugged it off.
Lunch was pretty crazy as always. Everyone was pushing and you missed hearing Farkle complain about this. But Farkle was in front of you, not looking back. His head hung a bit. He looked a little bit hurt. You sighed, wishing he would just talk to you. You grabbed a lunch tray but was stopped by arms wrapped around you.
'Hey (y/n)! I can't sit with you at lunch today. Zay and I have baseball practice.'
'Oh! That's cool! Have fun!' you smiled, feeling eyes on you.
'Thanks, (y/n)! You're the best,' he kissed the top of your head and left.
Farkle watched as he walked away, your smile slightly falling.
'If it makes you feel any better, you can join us for lunch,' Farkle invited, looking at the mash potatoes.
'Really?' You looked at him. He nodded without looking up. Smackle stood in the middle, watching the tension between the both of you. She sighs softly.
'This is just painful to watch.' she thought.
You sit down with your friends. Maya and Riley immediately start a conversation with Smackle. You play with your food. You had lost your appetite when after Lucas told you he had baseball practice. You kept your head down. Not daring to look over at Farkle, who you knew was probably doing his stupid homework anyway. It annoyed you that he was a little stubborn bitch who couldn't tell you the truth. You kept playing with your food. The chatter of your "friends" was still going on. You couldn't take it anymore.
You furiously grabbed all your things and got up. You didn't even notice that someone was walking past you. You slammed into them and your food crashed all over your body. You heard laughter erupt from the cafeteria.
'Y/n are you-' you hear Farkle start to say.
'DON'T!!' You scream you grab your bag and run to the bathroom. Tears rush to your eyes and you let them fall. You hear someone running after you. You don't look back. You run inside to the bathroom and drop to the ground. The door opens and you hear a click.
'Y/n.. Are you okay? Please just talk to me.' You hear Farkle's voice. You immediately get up. 'DON'T 'just talk to me!' WHO'S BEEN THE LITTLE BITCH?! WHO LIED? NOT ME! YES, I'VE BEEN A BITCH BUT, AT LEAST I DON'T LIE TO MY FRIENDS!' You yell pushing past Farkle.
He grabbed for your hand. You yank it away. You unlock the door to see the rest of the gang waiting there. Thankfully, Lucas wasn't there. You pushed past them.
'Wait, y/n!' You stop abruptly.
'No, I won't wait! You should now this by now! I am a stubborn bitch! But at least, I don't lie to my friends!' You growl. You run out of the school, not even caring that your parents would be pissed when they found out you had ditched school.
Farkle watched as you ran off.
'Agh!' He frustratedly groaned. 'She just doesn't listen!' He cries.
Smackle put her hand on his shoulder. 'It's okay, give her a break. Have you ever realized that maybe she's acting that way because she feels like you're still hiding something. I mean your friendship lasted nearly ten years already and today you started hiding something? Especially with her stubbornness to believe stuff. Talk to her later. Let her cool down, okay? You can't risk losing her,' Smackle slightly smiled. Farkle nodded.
He was still ticked off by your attitude but, he learned to cope with it over time. It won't stop now. The bell rang.
'Lets go Maya. We have science.' Farkle announced. Maya cried.
'Do I have to?'
'Yes, peaches,' Riley smiled.
'Fine.' She stomped off with Farkle following.
Riley turned and faced Smackle. 'When are you going to tell him you like him?'
Smackle smiled weakly,'It's only a crush. Besides, it's about them now. My crush will be over soon. Unlike me, they've been in love for years now,'
'Do you really believe she's in love with him?' Riley ask, link arms with Smackle as they head to their next class.
'Yeah, never stopped. They need to work it out,'
'Soon,' Riley said. 'Soon.'
