Chapter 9

Rowan's pov

Today my old friend from New York was coming to visit. I moved to LA when I was 5 to pursue acting, but we were best friends when I lived there.

His name was Matt and he is 15. He grew up to be pretty hot, but he wasn't anything like Corey.

I got out of bed and put on my white lace shorts and matching crop top.

I brushed my teeth and went downstairs.

"Hey Rowan. I want you to show Matt around town today because they might be moving here." my mom said as I walked into the kitchen.

"Okay." I said.

"And you're going to have to walk since neither of you can drive."

"Yup, okay."

At about 10am they arrived.

"Hey Rowan!" he said as he walked in.

"Hi!" I said while hugging him.

"It's great to see you." he said.

"Yeah, you too."

"Well why don't you kids go out and catch up. Us moms have some catching up to do ourselves," my mom said while ushering us out the door.

"Okay," I said while leaving.

"So what's LA like Row?" he asked me.

I cringed. I only like it when Corey calls me Row. It just sounds better coming out of his mouth.

"It's an adventure," I replied.

We walked to the mall. I showed him my favorite stores and good places to eat.

*ding*

Corey: Hey Row, wanna do something today?

Rowan: Sorry but my old friend from NY is visiting :( We can do something another time.

Corey: Okay, have fun.

"Who are you texting?" Matt asked me.

"Oh, just my co-star Corey Fogelmanis." I smiled when his name rolled off my lips. Man this boy drives me crazy.

"Oh," he said while looking down.

Um okay, what's his problem?

We decided to walk to Starbucks to get some coffee. We both got fraps and sat at a table.

We were talking for a while, and then a familiar face walked in.

Corey.

He came over when he saw me.

"Hey Row."

"Oh hey Corey. This is my friend I was telling you about, Matt."

"Hey," he said awkwardly.

"Hi," Matt replied. They stared at each other intensely until Corey said he had to go.

"Alright, see you later," I called out. He smiled at me, which made me melt.

"So is he a friend or?" Matt asked as he left.

"Um well, I don't really know." I replied.

"Oh well then I guess he wouldn't mind if I did this," he said as he leaned across the table and kissed me.

Ew.

I pulled away. I turned and noticed Corey staring at us. As soon as he caught my glare, he turned and walked out.
