Chapter 31: Who are you?

Napatakip naman ng bibig si Tita at maya maya pa ay tumulo na ang luha. Agad naman siyang inalo ng kanyang asawa.

"This is all your fault Iya!" Bulyaw ni Liz. Nagulat naman ako dun kasi parang susugod siya.

"And you are?" Sabat naman ni Kel. Nagtinginan na naman ang lahat kay Kel at Liz. Halatang gulat din si Liz sa nangyari dahil hindi rin siya naalala ng kapatid.

"What are you talking about? I'm your sister" Pagpapaliwanag niya.

"I'm sorry. I don't remember anything. Just Iya, it was supposed to be our monthsary and after that, wala na. Hindi ko alam kung saan kami pumunta or kung anong nangyari. Blanko lang. I really can't remember anything. Why is this happening Doc?" Napahawak sa ulo si Kel at hinimas ito. Sumasakit na siguro ang ulo, kakaisip.

"Do you remember your name?"

"Yes, Michael Xavier Lavidad"

"Anything else you remember?"

"Well, I'm a president of the student council at FEU, which I'm a senior and taking up BS HRM"

"That's good that you remember, but Kel that was 2 years ago."

Hindi nakasagot si Kel at tinignan lang si Dr. Felix.

"Don't worry Kel, you're family is here for you." He said pointing out everyone.

"So you're saying wala kang kilala o naalala dito sa mga tao sa room except that Iya?" Tanong ni Liz.

Tumungo lang si Kel.

"How come?"

"Let's not stress out Michael. I think it's just a post traumatic experience na nararanasan niya ngayon after the accident. We'll just let him rest and I'll just talk to you guys sa office" Bilin ni Dr. Felix sa mga magulang ni Kel.

"So you think he has amnesia Doc?" Tanong ng Mama ni Kel kay Doctor Felix.

Nandito kami ngayon sa office ni Doctor Felix. Ako, parents ni Kel and mga kapatid nito na umuwi pa galing ibang bansa. Ofcourse Liz was there listening to Doctor Felix seriously.

"Yes Mrs. Lavidad. That explains him losing important information or scenes na nangyari na sa buhay niya. Especially you, mga importanteng tao sa buo niya except Iya. "Okay Doc. But How would we know that he'll get well? What if he don't remember?" Kabadong tanong ng Mama ni Kel. Inakbayan naman siya ng asawa at pinakalma.

"We don't need to rush Kel, the more na pipilitin niya, the more na mahihirapan siya. At baka magkaroon pa ng complications since we're still running test to make sure he's all good. Lalo na malakas ang impact ng tama sa ulo niya nung tumalsik siya sa sasakyan."

"What do we need to do then Doc?" Tanong ng Papa ni Kel. Napatingin kami lahat kay Doctor Felix.

"Well, he needs all of you. He needs all the love he can get."

"And most of all, he needs her. since siya lang ang naalala ni Michael." Pagturo sakin ni Doc. Para tuloy akong nanliit dahil sabay sabay silang napatingin sakin.

"Me?" Tanong ko. Sabay lunok, natutuyo na lalamunan ko sa kaba. Lahat parin sila nakakatitig sakin.

"It can't be her. They already broke up. She cheated on my brother and I won't let her near him again." Straight to the point na sabi ni Liz. Gusto ko na tuloy gumapang palabas ng office ni Doc.

"Well, that's complicated but we still need her"

"Lalong ikamamatay lang ng kapatid ko kapag nakasama niya pa yang babaeng yan."

"Well again, she's the only one your brother can remember. Ni hindi ka niya kilala. It would be so hard for him kung lahat kayo fresh faces sa utak niya. He remembers her, sorry what's your name again?"

"Iya, po" Sagot ko and he smiled.

"He remembers Iya and one thing that we could do to make his recovery faster is to be with her. It looks he loves her so much. So magandang andun ka lage sa kanya Iha, until he's fully recovered. Mas matutulungan mo siyang maalala lahat ng nakalimutan niya."

Everyone looked at me again. Tumayo naman sa kinauupan yung Mama niya, tumayo sa harapan ko at kinuha yung parehas kong kamay.

"Our son loves you, we did love you too inspite of what you'd done but I do hope you'll help us out here. I want my son back Iya. Help me get my son back."

"Tita, minahal ko rin yung anak niyo. At paulit ulit akong hihingi ng tawad sa ginawa ko. Sinisi ko ang sarili ko sa nangyari kaya I'll do everything hanggang gumaling siya." I promised her and she hugged me, I hugged her back. Liz just walked out of the office.
