I looked at myself in the mirror. Jenna and I had taken at least 2 hours to get me ready for this date. I heard the doorbell ring.
I ran downstairs (almost falling because of my stupid high heels) and opened the door to see josh, standing there smiling at me.
"hi" he said
"hi!" I said.
we just looked at each other and then started hysterically laughing for absolutely no reason.
"you look beautiful. now come on we're going somewhere fun" he said
"thanks. and where?" I asked
we got in the car
"well I was gonna tell you all about my tattoos" he said, rolling up his sleeve, making me blush.
"but then I realized, you don't have one" he said.
"I know and I really want one but I -" I said , oblivious
"Lila. you're getting one" he said
"when" I asked
"now"
...
we walked into a dark tattoo parlor that smelt like weed. it seemed kind of sketchy.
josh pulled me close to him and wrapped his arm around me when there was a scream coming from outside.
a man with bright orange hair, tattoos all over him and kind eyes smiled at us.
"hey josh!" he said.
"hey Zack. this is the girl" josh said
"hi!" I smiled.
"josh doesn't shutup about you" he said. he shook my hand "I'm zack. and I'm gonna be tattooing you" he said
I trusted this guy, he seemed awesome.
"cool! I'm Lila!" I said.
I still couldn't believe I was getting a tattoo.
josh pulled up a photo on his phone of the fall out boy symbol.
"want that princess?" he asked
"YES OH MY GOD" i smiled
...
the tattoo process was painful. really painful. but in the end I had the most beautiful tattoo ever.
josh and I sat in comfortable silence the entire drive back to my house
he looked at me when we got to my house
"Lila?"
"yes?"
"will you maybe be like...my girlfriend?" he asked
I smiled widely "yes, I'd love that"
and we kissed right before I went home and thought about my boyfriend all night.
