I held Josh's hand along with Jenna and Tyler. I held his cold, almost lifeless hand, and let out small shaky sobs. Tyler had his arm around me and was crying with his face buried in my shoulder and Jenna was on the other side of me, crying onto my other shoulder. Josh's siblings and mom were all on the other side, all sharing his other hand.
"anything you'd like to say?" the doctor said, with a sad look on his face.
doctors must hate their jobs.
bringing sad news and all.
maybe doctors are just naturally jerks and like doing that...
his mom and siblings all said something, and then looked at us three.
Jenna and Tyler clearly weren't in any shape to talk so I had to.
"josh, thanks for being the most amazing human I've ever met. you've made me smile everyday and you let me be myself. always. Jenna and Tyler too. I'll never forget the fall out boy concert or playing wii sports until three am or that time you kissed me" I said, tears rolling down my cheeks. his mom looked at me and wiped a tear off her cheek
"he was so in love with you sweetie"
just as the doctor put his hand on the cord...I felt Josh's grip on my hand tightened.
"what was that princess?"
