2 weeks later...
"Hey," I said to Roman through the phone.
"Hey," he said.
"So how's training?", I asked him.
"It's fine," he replied vaguely. There was an awkward silence.
"Okay, well bye then," I said.
"Bye," he said, hanging up the phone.
I sat the phone down and I started crying.
"Katherine, what's wrong?", Grace asked.
"I don't think Roman wants to be with me anymore," I said, crying hard.
"Why would you think that?," She asked concerned.
"He barely wants to talk to me anymore. Maybe he found someone better," I sobbed.
"I'm sure he's just tired. Your overreacting it's the pregnancy hormones, calm down babe," she said, ruffling my hair.
"Your probably right," I said sniffling.
"I am, now c'mon. I made breakfast," she said, smiling.
I got out of bed, trying to push away my insecurities.
I sat at the table and my mouth drooled at the food.
"Thanks for cooking,'' I told Grace as I started eating.
"No problem. I was thinking we could go to this little baby boutique and pick out some stuff," she said.
"Yeah, I've been wanting to get the baby some clothes," I said, smiling.
"Here make sure you drink some orange juice. It's good for you and the baby," she said, smiling.
"Oh, thank you," I said, taking a sip of it.
After I finished eating, we left out.
"Do you think I should still visit Roman?", I asked her.
"Yeah, isn't this like one of the visitation days?", She asked.
"Yeah, but I don't want him to feel like I'm smothering him," I said.
"He won't think that. Your 2 months pregnant, I'm sure he wants to see how the pregnancy is going along," Grace said.
I nodded my head.
We went to one of the baby boutiques and I bought a few outfits for the baby. I was so excited, I couldn't wait to see him.
"Have you thought of any names yet?", Grace asked touching my stomach.
"Yeah I've been thinking about Xander, Zane, Axel, Knox, Ryder, or Cassius," I said.
"Those are good I like Axel or Cassius," she said.
"Yeah those are my favorite,'' I said, smiling as I paid for my stuff.
"So do you want me to drive you to Daria or are you going to catch a carriage?", She asked.
"I'll just take a carriage," I said. I didn't want to be a burden to her, she was already doing so much for me.
"Okay, I got something to tell you," she said.
"What?", I asked as we started walking back to the house.
"So I meet this guy..," she said, smiling hard.
"Oh my god! What's his name?", I asked her.
"Derrick Black," she said, excited.
