Before he got home, Liam makes a quick stop at Paul's grocery story at the corner to buy some food for himself.
"Nice to see you back again Liam," Paul greets as Liam enters the grocery story again.
"Feels like I was just here yesterday," Liam replies sarcastically. Paul chuckles.
"How's your new friend doing?" Paul asks with a smug grin.
"Wouldn't know. He disappeared sometime after I went to sleep. Didn't take anything. Just left," Liam explains. "I really don't understand him at all," he adds. "But he's the reason I'm here. He ate most of my food," Liam tells Paul, a surprised look coming over his face.
"Hungry guy," he comments.
"I swear, I've never seen anybody eat like him," Liam tells Paul as he walks through the store, grabbing a few items.
"You say he just left, huh?" Paul says as he checks out the food.
"In the middle of the night," Liam adds.
"Strange character," Paul comments.
"God... He is," Liam agrees. "But hopefully he's out of my life forever now," he adds.
"For your sake, mate, I hope so too," Paul agrees as he hands Liam the few bags of groceries. "Gives you one less thing to worry about," he adds. Liam thanks him and leaves the store, finally heading home, exhausted and ready to do nothing all night.
