A Smile Of Affection - Chapter 24

“Rachel the worst part is over, he’ll be fine about us. He has chucked his little tantrum, all we have to do now is explain how it all happened and he’ll get over it.”

I sighed “I feel like I don’t know who he is anymore. You seem to know him better the I.” I frowned.

He leaned down to kiss me swiftly “Trust me Rachel; it’s going to be fine.”

I scoffed “Trust you? Last time you told me to trust was about meeting your friend ‘Mike’ which I wasn’t too fond on doing and look where that has put us.” I giggled.

He chuckled and wound his arms around my waist “Ahh that’s true. But it will only make us stronger.” He smirked and inched his head down to press his lips against mine again.

“Ok! Let do this.” Michael said clapping twice, making Noah and myself jump apart.

He walked over to the couch and slumped down on it, making himself confortable.

He looked up at the both of us and smirked. “Let me have it then.”

So it all adds up to this;

I’m a student dating my twenty three year old Arts teacher (We aren’t exactly an official couple) I’m seventeen, soon to be eighteen. So it’s practically illegal that we are together, by both age and law because of him being my teacher and also because I am underage. So if we were ever to be caught, I would be kicked out of school, he would be fired and most likely chucked in Jail, and would never be able to teach again.

Yet we are both willing to give this all up for one another. Love can do some crazy stunts.

Oh and did I mention that his best friend is my brother?!

Wait … did I just mention love before? I mentally slapped myself and scoffed out loud.

“I’m not in love.” I said to myself as gulped down the last of my cereal.

Last night went … not the best at the beginning, but in the end everything was pretty much cleared up. This lifted a huge amount of relief off of my chest.

Noah and I explained everything from beginning to end. Also including the parts about Benson. Which Michael didn’t take so well. My brother always trusted Ben; they even hung out every now and then, before he moved away.

“Oh! How about this one?” Gracey announced pulling a dress of the hanger and holding it up.

I tilted my head to the side, taking in the dress.

“Come on, you need to wear something sexy. At least try it on?” She suggested with a pout.

I sighed and reached my open hand towards her “Give it to me.”

I’m not the one for dresses, I’d prefer to stick with jeans and a nice top... Not a dress. I promised Grace last weekend that I would let her take me shopping for a dress, seeing as my birthday is coming up this Friday and she wanted to take me out clubbing for the first time.

Noah was bummed that he couldn’t be there with me, so he said he would make up for it and steal me away Saturday night.

My parents or should a say ‘Parent’ are going away... Again. Typical. My mum always made sure she was there for my birthday no matter what. But no. Not this year. She and Trevor had to go away on some conference for Trevor’s work. There was no need for my mum to go, But Trevor insisted that it was important for her to go; she didn’t dare saying no to him. Knowing the consequences if she stood her ground.
