A New Chapter

It's like closing a book or starting a new chapter

As my finger tips glide across the words and flip page after page

Trying to memorize the thoughts, dialogues, descriptions

Cherishing those memories that have passed

Because life doesn't have a remote controller

Can't Fastword bullshit, Rewind and Play the good times

Some pages are looked over without a care, then revisited later on

Regret isn't in the glossary; Lessons are found in each chapter

Now and then, a paper cut is needed, blood is spilt

Keeps me focused on what is in front of me

Sooner or later, way too soon, this book will close

Kept away in a small dusty corner

To be revisited again

Because those stories are me

All of the adventures that I've gone through

Thick and thin, alone or together

Hopefully unforgetful

These long years beat me down

And brought me back up

What will the years to come do to me next?
