You
There could be a speech
A few sentences
Or maybe just the three words
The three
The three most important things to say
The three most vital pieces to keep a heart beating
The three words that everyone needs to hear
I love you
But these are not the only words that declare love
No, there are plenty of combinations that do the same
There are words in the millions just hanging above
They could all do just as well at setting the flame
No, these three words are not alone
In fact, it's just the opposite
There's no speech set in stone
Anything is possible
I need you
I miss you
I love you
Thank you
Don't change
I love you
I will never forget you
I will never be able to replace you
I love you-
I love you
Anything is possible
Yet no way is recognized other than those three words
You could cast out every emotion in your body, sending them to every soul on Earth
But they would not notice
You could rupture and shatter into a million pieces, spreading yourself across your love's path
Explaining your affection in a million, separate words
But your pieces would not be found
They would not be reached
They would not be read
No, your endless love would not be acknowledged
It would be torn down from the wall you plastered it on
Thrown into a waste bucket to rot
It would be laughed at or whisked away with a yawn
For whom you love has only one blind spot
You
They can not see clearly when in your presence
There is a glare in their sight
A sun beam beneath their eyelids
It is simply too bright
It is like, once again, you are kids
Afraid to say the truth
Afraid to say the what you feel
Even though you are far past your youth
You are afraid of the reality in which you have not yet revealed
You are afraid
So, this is written for you
Do not let your love fade
Come clean with the three words that desperately want to come through
