To Be Forgiven

The emptiness has filled too much to drain
The sorrow has deepened too far to stitch
The darkness has spread too distant to bring the light
But the few hold their ground
They refuse to let the darkness consume their souls
They shine their light into the dark
A symbol of peace and righteousness
A beacon beckoning others to follow
Pleading their minds to see the light as what it is
Hope
Mercy
Forgiveness
Begging for them to leave their darkness behind and start anew
To leave the corrupt ideas in the past and live in the light
For the light is all you need when you are in the dark
You just need to find it and reach out
Find it and hold on to it
Don't let others destroy it
Hold onto the light and you will never be in the dark
You will never be in the dark
You will never be alone
You will be forgiven.
