I have tried to write without words
I have tried to survive with no heartbeat
I have tried to live without love
But it does not work
It's like being thrown into an ocean head first with nothing but a rock tied to your hand to pull you down further
It's like having your soul tied to a balloon and watching it drift away from your sight as you sit on the ground which you have hated your whole life
It's like striving for perfection when you are the most imperfect of all
It's like having your hands ripped from your arms and being told to throw
It's like having no voice and needing to speak
Though you try and try and
Try
Though you wish and wish and
Wish
Though you beg and beg and
Beg
It does not work
Not for the strongest nor the weakest
Not for the most powerful or the least
Not even for the most wonderful person, who does not deserve any of the cruelties this world holds
It does not work
For it is like living while dying
And that does not work
And I am sorry
I am so sorry that it does not work
For you
For me
For us all
Because I know how it feels to need it to work
And I need it to now
It needs to.
