All you had to do
Was listen to the words
I was saying to you.
You thought I was holding back.
That's true.
But you were stuck in one spot
Asking me to move.
All you had to do
Was spend time
REAL TIME
With me.
Not just an hour or two.
Then leave.
You were like a record
Stuck in a groove.
All your words and actions
On repeat.
All you had to do
Was tell me the truth.
Be honest with me
Like I was with you.
But instead you used
My hurt to hide
Your truths.
Used my sorrow
To hurt me more.
Made me out to be the one
Doing everything wrong.
So all I had to do
Was just walk away from you.
You said everyone always leaves.
But you're the one who
Pushed away from me...
