I wonder how often you've danced on the edge.
Afraid to take the leap into the unknown.
How well do I know the feeling of hitting the bottom
And the pain of the climb back up to the ridge.
It's as scary as hell!
To feel that you may fall again.
That this time your heart may splatter to pieces
On the rocks below.
How often did I fear if it had,
Yet here it is, still together.
Maybe a bit worse for wear.
A few scars here and there.
But stronger than before.
And yet I'm here again
Dancing on the edge.
Of course I'm still afraid to fall.
But maybe one day instead
I will leap up into the sky.
Never to return there.
Maybe because you leapt with me
And are now by my side...
