In the middle of the night.
In the silence, the stillness.
I remember what it felt like...
To have someone reach for your hand.
To lace their fingers with yours.
I remember waking to someone
Watching me as I slept
As if to memorize my face.
I remember the butterflies.
The electricity of a kiss, an embrace.
To feel their breath on your shoulder.
To see them smile at you in the moonlight.
Those quiet moments where no one else exists.
Where nothing mattered.
The silence so rare.
And I miss having someone there.
Feeling the comfort
And the love shared.
