"What Devin ?" I said peeved off "are you really still mad at me, at the mall ? " this boy did not just "Devin you literally told me two days ago, that you wanted to be with me and you wouldn't hurt me, now your in the mall with me while some girl is disrespecting me, even after I tried to be nice to her and if that's how you act when we're official I won't be able to do it cause then you'll be mine." I said folding my arms "You have to share me with other Gordon girls in some sense ." He said siting on his bed "and I never said I'd have a problem with that, they can have there proposal pics and there kissing cheek pictures and stuff I don't care, but if your going to treat me like I'm still one of them in public and your girl behind closed doors I don't have time." I said standing in front of him, he looked at me not saying anything just staring, I don't have time "goodbye Devin ." I walked out and went to change so my mom could pick me up in a bit Lexi was in her room doing musical.lys "oh sorry I'll change in the bathroom ." And I walked back out before she said anything I changed into a hoodie and leggings and through on my roshes, when I went back into Lexi room and she was on her bed now checking her video "what's wrong ? ." She said posting the video and putting her phone on the charger "nothing , could you give me two braids ? ." Lexi looked at me skeptically "yeah sure." I walked back into the bathroom and rachetly stuck my head under the faucet and drenched my hair and squeezed the water out and went back to Lexis room and sat In front of the bed I grabbed a comb from my bag and handed it to her "so you sure there's nothing going on?" She said as she parted my hair and started the first braid "yeah I'm just tired I'm probably going to put in some extra hours in my room and go to sleep ." Knowing full well I was going to sleep to stoop thinking about Devin, atleast for a few hours . "Okay shawty , whatever you say." She said starting the second braid as I put a rubber band on the first one when she finished I looked in the mirror and surprisedly my edges laid down on they're own 😭🙏🏾. "Thanks Lexi." I said putting my hoops in "your welcome girlie ." I layed on the floor and put my hood on the. Kevin dear lord came in and started dragging me out the room "LEXIIIIII." I yelled in a high pitch tone she just laughed and recorded me "Kev what are you doing ?" I said as he let go of my legs in the hall way "I heard what happened." Kev said sitting in front of me "can we stop talking about it?" I said throwing my hand over my face " did you guys talk ?" "Yep kev, I'm too exhausted to get hurt again , I don't have the energy kev ." I said my voice cracking at the end "no no come here ." Said pulling my hand off my face and hugging "you know you guys will work this out, and if you don't I feel like the guy who is really right for you might be around the corner." He said I looked up at him feeling my eyes get puffy "Kev-" I started but then "Lehlani ! You're mom is here ." Mr star said from downstairs "I broke eye contact with Kevin and wiped under my eyes "I'll see you next time" I said "call me if you need anything lani " he said I nodded grabbed my duffle out of lexis room telling her bye and jazzy snd daniel as well and hugging them and then I ran to the bathroom to splash some water on my face jogged downstairs "he ma." I said "hey love you ready ?" She said " yep, and thank you mr.star for having and helping me me I had a lot of fun ." I said hugging him as well "you did great and we will see you back in a few weeks for the shows , make sure you keep working too." He said "I will I promise." "Alright baby lets go " my mom said and we said our last goodbyes .
"Did you have fun ?" My mom said "yeh it was fun I chilled with Daniel, Lexi , Kevin, Shari, and jazzy and got to get to know everyone it was very fun, Lexi even did my hair ." " That's great." My mom said for the rest of the ride we sang Monica and Tamar Braxton songs in the uber , the driver probably thought we were crazy ." And when we got to the hotel I went to my moms room and we ordered room service and she told me how she got to go to a spa and her a mani pedi and massage , and we watching. Transformers, Devin texted me during the movie several times but I ignored him . "Alright baby you should get to bed." I stood up and left going back down the hall past the elevator, once I got in the room I took a shower and Devin started to fill my mind again , along with insecurities being tied to him being ashamed of me , I got out of the shower crying , taking what was left of my smudgy eye makeup off . I left my braids wet and threw on a tank top and my BAPE hoodie with my Capri leggings , I just pulled the hood over my head and started crying , my head started hurting as I cried harder, feeling the hurt I thought couldn't get worse from Devin not even knowing how I genuinely longed to love him, to complications now I was so wrong . I picked my phone up and looked at the time 1:49am and scrolled past devs contact and went to Kevin's

I turned the tv on and flipping through the channels I passed fresh prince of bel air and I rolled my eyes thinking of Devin. This situation is slick dumb. I stop the channel on spongebob, then there was a knock at the door I got up and went to get it peeping at the door to make sure it was kev, he was wear a hoodie and some joggers, "no one told you to come ." I said as he shut the door and I got back in bed he just laughed and walked over to the bed , he pointed at the sheets and I nodded , not really wanting to talk. he pulled back the covers and went to take his hoodie off exposing his Ab muscles and. Biceps , I stared at his abs until he caught me. My face turned red and I looked back at the tv as he got into the bed his sock poking my leg. We stayed silent for a while, and I put my head on his shoulder "talk to me ." He said I took a shaken breath trying to keep it together "Why is it I always feel like I'm never enough ." I said as my voice cracked again kev pulled me towards him and I put my head on his chest as he rubbed my back , I cried harder feeling my body release the weight of the tears on his shirt. As I stopped crying I got sleeper and kev kept rubbing my back , I started to drift off to sleep as I heard Kevin said "you are more than beautiful ," and I fell asleep hearing his voice and heart beat , wishing more than anything in the world that it was Devins
