I played it cool
I played it safe
That is why I've never won the race
They say that the good guys never win first place
In a way that's true
If they never even took a chance
Then there's no way that they can get first place
I'm sick of watching my life pass me by
When I could be changing the world
Day by day I see people taking chances
And all I want to do is sigh
Because I'm afraid
Afraid to fall
Afraid to fail
Afraid to love
Afraid to leap
Afraid to be fearless
Afraid to be noticed
Because I'm afraid of everything
I gotta change my mind
And start running this race.
