I helped load the truck with food as Tez and 40 did most of the heavy work. We had just came from the house for a few things, and then the supermarket to get some things to hold us over until Nip gives me the word.
"Where we going next the small house?" 40 asked
"Uh I need one of y'all to come with me to get my kids and the rest of them." I said getting in the back seat
"Alright I'll go." Tez said turning the radio on
We rode back to the small house unloading the bags, 40 stayed and watched the house while Tez and I got in the benz and drove to Chris house. Knocking loudly Tae answered the door in one of Chris's shirts.
"What?" She asked
I took a deep breath placing my hand on my back
"You good?" Tez asked
"Yeah I'm fine. Look I need you and the girls to come with me." I said calmly, I don't have the strength to fight with her....about anything! My stress level is beyond high and I'm starting to pay for it.
"For what?" She asked with attitude lacing every word
"Look who ever jumped Chris could be a crip, and if so their not done. They will go as far as possible meaning family too, so you can stay home girl but uh not the girls. They need to be somewhere safe." I said to her as clear as possible
She looked at me for what seemed like for ever before nodding her head and opening the door for Tez and I to come in.
"Who's he?" She pointed to Tez
"A family friend who's gonna make sure we're safe." I said picking up Morgan's belongings
"So this is serious huh?" She chuckled
"Why would I be playing?" I snapped making Tez rub my back. Playing games is something I London Scott Hussle do not do! Not when my friends and family are involved, and right now my child's father is in a coma and my soon to be husband is out more than likely risking his life, so is this serious? Yes, very as a heart attack.
Before she could say anything I hushed her as if she was one of my kids and finished getting my Morgan's things.
"Where's the girls?" I asked
"In their room sleep." She mumbled with her head down
I didn't mean to hurt her feelings, but at the same time I'm not in the best mood to put up with anybodies problems besides my kids. I walked down the hall until I reached a pink door with Mariah and Morgan's name on it, pushing it open I saw the two babies sleep in the same bed all cute laid up next to each other. Smiling lightly to myself I reached for a half dressed Morgan. Putting her on a pair of pants and a jacket I called Tae into the room.
"Can you pack Mimi a bag?" I asked looking around the well put together room, you can tell a mother put the it together....it was done beautifully. Morgan even had a crib and dresser set up with toys all over the place.
"Yeah, how long are we staying?" She asked grabbing a pink bag with Mimi's name on it going through the draws in search for the proper attire.
"Uh I'm not too sure, my husband will let me know so until then we'll be chilling out at the safe house." I said picking up a pink children's book flipping through the pages.
"Okay." She said simply
She packed for Mariah and then packed for her self while Tez and I waited in the living room with the girls.
"I'm ready." She announced coming in the living room with both her and Mimi's bags in each hand
"Who else do we have to get?" Tez asked
"Well Leah is gonna get mama J, and P is out of town with her mom so we can go back to the house." I said hiking Morgan up onto my hip more
He nodded his head in an understanding way before taking Tae things from her and handing off Mimi.
We all fit comfortably into the black hummer truck riding silently to the other side of L.A into the heels. The girls slept through the almost hour long ride making it better because all that was heard through the car was Jay Z's new album.
When Tez pulled up I was the first to get out just for the simple fact that my back was killing me. I opened the door for Tae and then grabbed a sleeping Morgan
"Wow this is so cute." Tae said more to her self
"Thanks, we use it when we wanna get away it's privet and big but not the size of our home. Just a smaller more excluded space." I pressed the button to close the gate
"So are you like a at home wife?" She asked as I opened the door letting the cold air bless my skin
"Well....I do what I have to do as a mother and wife, but still as a business woman." I said absent mindedly
She nodded chewing on her bottom lip. I shook my head why did it matter to her?
"We can put them in the girls room." I said leading the way while Tez and 40 got the things out the truck. I laid Morgan in her bed taking her pants, shoes, and shirt off leaving her in a onezie. Tae put Mimi in P's bed and took off her jacket and shoes.
"The room across the hall is all yours there's a bathroom in it as well." I pointed
"Thank you." She mumbled
"No problem, the kitchen is always open there's food in there you're welcome to anything." I said leaving out the room as she stopped in front of her bed room door picking up her bag where I'm guessing Tez or 40 put it.
"Thanks...again." she said
"No problem." I smiled going into the unpacked kitchen
*Nip
"You sure that's him?" I asked Mijo
"Yeah that's him. Me and Chris had a run in with him a few times." He said. We were all sitting on the sofa scheming
"Over what?" Mouse asked the question that was burning in the back of my mind.
"Well a few months ago, we had a new leader, game he was a cool cat...but couldn't be trusted. One night me and breezy was on a midnight shift and we over heard him talking to the mexicans about taking 50 G's and dipping. We couldn't believe it, the guy we told all our information to was not only stealing from us but he was working with the crips" he shook his head
"So what y'all do?" I asked, the look of pure hate was very much present on his face and I couldn't blame him
"We shot him. We shot everything that was moving. We dumped 'em off by their turf and left him for dead. A few days later the crips were taking out everybody so we ran waited it out for a while...but uh a few days ago Chris went out by him self and got pissy drunk was dancing with one of Sean's girl and he confronted him, Breezy flew off the handle and beat him up. So it's pay back." He finished
Now that everything was pieced together it made sense now. Who would have thought your own gang brothers would leave you for dead after they were caught slipping.
"So we looking for Sean and game?" I asked
"Yeah, they the only people we had a problem with in the hood." He said
"Come on." I stood up
"Where we going?" He stood too and so did mouse
"I got some cuban connects over here that can find out where he at, cause I know he figured someone coming so he probably hiding." I said cocking my gun
"They probably gone by now, Game...game is fast." Mijo explained
"Well I'm faster."
