PART II

I walk through the halls of the darkened house. Every light switch broken, no source of light, not even a candle. Only sunlight. The paint on the walls everywhere are peeling, curling and flaking off the walls. The windows boarded up, so only slivers of light shine through. The floors creaking with weakness, ceilings drooping with sadness, and the only sounds I hear are the ones who truly understand me. My demons.

I walk to the end of the hall, and everyone is watching me. Wondering what I'm going to do next. They always wonder and so do I. It's been six months since I've last seen another disgusting human being. Six months since I've seen a disgusted face as I hang my head low in shame. Six months since I've last saw him. Jamison. He's tried texting and calling, asking me what I meant. I used to get over a hundred messages a day, and now I get none.

So I'll just stay here in my home sweet home. Wondering if I'll stay here. Is it worth it? To be forever alone?
