"What the hell is he gonna say?" I sobbed on Ferra's shoulder

"He's gonna understand Cai, just call him" torri said

"I can't..." I wiped some of my tears

"C'mon girl just get it over with, we're here with you. Call him" Ferra said

I nodded and called him. As soon as he answered I blurted it out.

"Kevin I'm pregnant" I told him with tears streaming down my face

"For real?!"

"Yes" I shook my head in shame

"Oh my God! Oh shit...this is amazing" I could feel him smile through the phone

"Kevin no its not! I'm not a few hours pregnant..I'm three days pregnant...plus I took my birth control right after we got out of the shower, Its Devon's" I mumbled towards the end of my sentece

"It's...it's who's?" He asked in a bitter tone

"Baby please don't make me repeat it" I started to cry even harder

He sighed hard. "Stop crying Caidence, just calm down alright. I'll call you back in a few minutes"

"Alright" I hung up

"See he's not all that mad" ferra said

"No, he's pissed off. You don't know Kevin" I shook my head

ZOE P.O.V.

"THIS BASTARD GOT HER PREGNANT" Kev yelled, walking around in circles. "IMMA KILL HIM NOW"

"Bro he's already in the hospital, we ain't tryna get arrested. There's nothing we can do man" I told him truthfully

"I know I just...Imma see you later man" he said before leaving the house

"It's gonna be okay baby calm down" my Grandma said

"...I...I just promised my mama that when I finally found the perfect girl, we was gon' give her some grandkids that would make her proud and when I find out that she's pregnant, its the product of a mistake" I shed a few tears "and-and I thought it was mine because Cai and I ya know...we worked on that..And she's amazing, I wanted to be the one to give her kids. The one to feel what it feels like to have a family with her-...." I ran my hand over my face, wiping all the tears away "Shit hurts"

"Listen baby, I'm sure your mother would have been more than proud of that, but even without grandkids she's still looking down at you wishing she had a young man as good as you when she was young. Now even though you're upset and a little disappointed, you go home and kiss your girl and raise that baby like it was your own. Plus she's the one carrying the child so don't be selfish, it kills her a million times more than it does you...trust me. The baby may not be yours but Cai's heart is yours...she needs you" My Grandma said to me

I sighed and shook my head, knowing she was right. "....alright, I think I'll be okay" I lied

"You sure?" She asked

I cleared my throat. "Yeah...yeah I'll be alright"

"Okay. Now come on in the kitchen and get this pie I made for Cai's mom"
