A Single Step-Lucy X OC-(A Fairy Tail Fan-Fic)

Chapter 2

//Lucy POV//

"...Mmm..." Lucy slowly wakes up and checks her watch for the time. It has been 4 hours and she was still in the train. She pulls out a silver key.

"Open. Gate of the Canis Minor, Plue." Lucy summoned the little snow like figure, his pointy nose poking her stomach, making her giggle. "Come here, Plue."

"..p...p.." Plue said while twitching. Lucy hugs him warmly.

"Oh, Plue...I don't know what I'm thinking...I'm going on a job...ALONE!" Lucy sighs. "Was this a good idea?"

"..P..!" Plue nods yes.

"Hm...you're right. I need some space for now...a job will keep my mind off of Natsu and I'll get easy money." Lucy smirks at the thought of the cash. "Let's hope we can finish this job without running away scared."

"P!" Plue nods as he stands up on her lap but slumps down. Lucy sends him back to the Spirit World. She sighs and she closes her eyes, bored as she waits for the train ride to end.

//Lucifer POV//

Lucifer has been walking all day now. Feeling bored out of his mind ever since he fought monsters yesterday at a small store from the edge of town. He pulls his hood up so no one would recognize him...

"There's one! There's one of those dark guild bastards!" he heard a woman yell and sees her pointing right at him. "He brought those monsters here!"

"Seriously-" Lucifer didn't get to finish when someone threw a bottle at him. It hits the back of his head and breaks on impact. He falls to one knee.

"Get out of here!" a crowd starts to form around as he stands up.

"Leave us alone!"

"Go die!" People were chanting angrily. Lucifer could only grab his wrist...anger shaking within him but he holds back...fear of what might happen if he lets himself snap. Using his powers, he dashes through the crowd in a cloud of shadow, scaring everyone that he went through as he escapes the crowd.

All Lucifer wanted to do was run away from this town but he knew he couldn't...he had to help this town and stop whatever that was causing monster to come to this town. He owns this town everything despite everyone sees him as a villain or a monster.

//Lucy POV//

"Ah! Finally!" Lucy exclaimed as she made it to the small town. She checks the flyer to know where to next and starts asking directions.

It took a while but she made it to what seemed to be the mayor's house. She knocks on the door and a very skinning old man opens it.

"Hello? Who are you?" he asked as he sees Lucy and a large suitcase with her clothes inside.

"Lucy...I'm from Fairy Tail and responded to your request for help." Lucy said as she raised her hand to show the symbol of Fairy Tail.

"Ah! Come in!" the man said and Lucy enters the house.

"About the job..."Lucy asked.

"Ah! Of course...we...we changed it." The man, who seemed to be actually the mayor, said with a nervous chuckle.

"What?" Lucy asked confused.

"We found...a reason to believe...these monsters are being brought by a single man..." the mayor said.

"A man?" Lucy asked. "What makes you say that?"

"We caught this person using...dark magic and we think he is one of those wizards in a dark guild." The mayor said.
