Chapter 24

Cody crashed on the bed with Jasmine again and she had a very good night sleep. She woke up around the same time as everyone today. Her eyes slowly opened as she looked around. It wasn't very early and she was sure everyone else would be waking up soon. According to the itinerary, they were going to spend another day at the beach and she was ecstatic.

Last time she didn't really do anything because of Cody but this times since they were all well rested, they could go and have fun. Jasmine glanced over to Cody and saw that was they were intertwined in a very awkward position. His arm was across her stomach dangerously close to touching some unmentionables.

Their legs were barely touching so she could remove them from being each other, but she was trying to come up with a plan to get Cody's arm off of her without waking him up. She can't say that it was uncomfortable, but she did need to get changed. When her skin directly touched his, she could feel the heat pulsing through her veins.

She resisted the urge to just leave her hand on his instead of pulling it off and gently put his hand on his chest. Right when his hand had touched his chest, his eyes fluttered open. She couldn't help but grin at him and whisper "Hi." Yawning, Cody slowly sat up and looked around. "Hey, are we the only ones up?" Jasmine nodded before getting up and went to her drawer looking through her bathing suits.

She came across her purple bikini and thought that with the sand being everywhere, the bikini would have fewer places to gather. So Jasmine grabbed it along with a black tank top and denim shorts. That way when they got ready to go down for breakfast, all they would have to do was change into board shorts. She was getting up to go change when she tripped over the top of her suitcase and fell on her back with a thud. "Oww," she muttered.

"Are you okay?" Cody asked coming over to her.

"Yeah, I should be fine." He held out his hand and when Jasmine saw it, she couldn't resist grabbing it and pulling him down with her. "Humph," he muttered falling half on her and half on the ground. "Sorry, I didn't meant to pull you that hard," she admitted looking at him, his face only a few inches from hers with a slight grin.

"Yeah, sure you didn't," he said rolling his eyes playfully. They both stared directly into each other's eyes no longer playful but serious. Jasmine could feel her body heat up and she knew she should move. But she didn't want to. Their faces slowly inched closer and their lips met. It was barely a brush and when they pulled away, they looked away cheeks pink.

Before either of them could say anything, she heard Simone mutter "What time is it?" Instantly both Cody and Jasmine leapt into opposite directions. She mumbled something along the lines of getting ready and grabbed her things dashing to the bathroom. When she locked the door behind her and closed her eyes, she noticed that her heart was racing and she was flushed.

She turned on the water for her shower and while she was getting ready, she couldn't help but think about what happened. It was really random and unexpected. Maybe God was trying to tell her something since she continued having these thoughts about and kisses with Cody. She was finally ready so she gathered her discarded pajamas, and slowly opened the door.

She glanced around and Cody was gone so he must've gone back to his room to get ready for breakfast. The last time this happened, it wasn't awkward after they got over the initial shock but this time they couldn't blame it on being drunk. Simone and Aliyah were up and getting ready. The both had similar ideas to Jasmine's, getting their swimsuits and putting them under over their regular clothes.

Aliyah had a great red v-neck monokini that she was working under a flowery sundress, while Simone decided on a bright pink bikini with navy shorts and a thin pink t-shirt. They left their room and headed down to breakfast. Her heart was pounding as she anticipated seeing Cody. Simone and Aliyah gave her strange looks because neither one of them had seen what happened between Cody and me this morning.
