I was lost in a world of fakers
Pretenders who seemed so perfect
No flaws when you're pretending
They manipulated me
Bent me to their will
Made my innocence secede
The only good thing that came from the liars and cheats
Is the realization of the truth
"I want my heart back!" screams the lost little girl
It was taken long ago
I lost it in the lies, the person i pretended to be
It was taken out of me
Torn out of me
It was devoured
Played with like a toy for the wolves in sheep's clothing
I was betrayed
I was deceived
The price?
Innocence did not survive
The innocence of always being happy
Never second guessing
It was lost down the drain along with my feelings
And now i really don't care
Now i trust no one
Don't try to get along
For the truth- you will never care about me
The child in me still cries and weeps over it's death
The real me stands tall, knowing life moves on to it's next victim.
