"Caleb, for the last time!" Hanna yelled but was obviously getting no attention.

I laughed and said, "It's alright Hanna. In used to this", I told her.

"Yeah but you shouldn't be", she said sadly.

Caleb snorted, "Hanna. Are you seriously sticking up for her? She's obviously using Emily."

"Tell me Caleb, what do I have to gain from dating a woman? It seems you have a problem with women dating women?" I asked.

Shaking his head he says, "I've put up with Emily being a lesbian for years!"

"There it is! You've put up with it. That doesn't mean you're ok with it", I said bringing the truth to light.

He stayed silent for a moment. "Caleb? You're not?" Hanna tried asking.

"Of course I am. I'm not homophobic, I have absolutely no problem with it. I just have a hard time believing Alison doesn't", he said speaking to Hanna.

That's when I snapped, "Well you're opinion doesn't matter! I'm happy with Emily and that's that. And yes I may not be gay or 'into girls' as you put it but Emily is someone I see a future with and she's the only person I want to be with."

"Right", was all Caleb said as he got up and walked upstairs shutting the door. Hanna turned to me, "Ali, I'm sorry. I have no idea why he's being an asshole."

I smirked and said, "I do. He doesn't like me and he never has."

"I don't see why. He barely even knows you but don't worry I'll find out. But let's not let Caleb's sour mood put us down, we have to get you ready for your date!" Hanna said a little too excited.

"You're right", I said focusing on my date with Emily.

   *An hour later*

"Oh my gosh. You look so beautiful, I'm jealous!" Hanna said frowning.

I laughed while walking in front of the full body mirror. Ok so maybe she was being a bit dramatic, but the dress was indeed pretty. It was a simple white Pastel Garden Dress that I know Emily will love and I was wearing silver heels to go with it.

Hanna's phone beeped and she shrieked while pushing me out the door, "Ok so I have to drive you back now."

I couldn't help but wonder, as we got in Hanna's car, that maybe she was being a little too nice. Hanna's never been the one to just let go of grudges. And I know she's holding a lot over my head.

"Hey what are you thinking about?" she asked and I couldn't help but answer.

"I know you said you're over everything and its old news, but I never understood why you were so forgiving", I told her while she stopped at a red light and turned to me.

She sighed and said, "Look, you apologized which I never would have expected from you of all people. We're all adults now and just because Spencer wants to act like a child and ignore us all just for befriending you again doesn't mean I have to. And I may be putting old feelings aside for Emily because I know she really likes you and I'm not going to be the one who ruins this for her. I want Emily happy and I know you want the same.

I nodded my head slowly, taking everything she just said all in. She cares for Emily's happiness and that's all that really matters.

We pulled up to the house and I stepped out to see the walkway filled with Roses. "You guys are so cliche but I love it, good luck", Hanna said driving away.
