3 months later..

[Kaia.]

"Come on, Auntie Kai! I wanna get a doughnut before they run out!" Malachi shouted, running in front of the cart I was strolling that was full of food.

"I'm trying to hurry, Mal." I chuckled.

When we finally reached where they kept their doughnuts, Mal opened the glass door and grabbed a chocolate doughnut but someone was about to grab it as well.

"Oh sorry, I didn't see your hand!" The girl said.

"It's fine! Here, you can have it!" He said, handing her the doughnut that was wrapped up.

I chuckled at how generous he was. He gets it from Cameron.

"Oh no sweetie that's fine. I can just get another one." She smiled, looking into the big glass carrier to see nothing.

"How about this!" Mal ripped his doughnut in half and handed her the other half.

"Well thank you, cutie!" She smiled.

"I'm sorry about him. If you don't want it, you don't have to take it." I butted in.

"It's fine. I'll take it. I'm Gianna." She introduced.

"Kaia. And that's Malachi." I pointed to the little boy who was intrigued by the sugar cookies that was on a table.

She giggled saying,"He's so cute, is that your son?"

"No, actually. My nephew."

"Really? He looks just like you." She looked at him.

I shrugged and smiled. "Genetics I guess."

"Well it was nice meeting you, can I have your number?" She asked.

I nodded and handed her my phone. She put her number in my phone and saved her name as 'GiGi✨🌚'.

I slightly laughed and nodded. "See ya around." Me and Malachi walked away to get some other food.

I never was really a socialite. My head was always in them books cause mama wasn't raising no dummy. I had a few friends but we never really talked.

It's whatever cause now I have Mal who is my best friend.

Soon, we got home and Malachi ran into his room. Probably to play some video game I guess.

These couple of months have been pretty good. Malachi hasn't been a problem, in fact he has been a really good help.

I'm starting I love him like a mother but being his aunt is close enough.

I took off my all black huaraches and went into Malachi's room. He was playing NBA 2k16.

"Hey boyfriend!" I smiled.

"Hey girlfriend!" He said, focused on his game. I gave him a kiss on the cheek and sat on his bed. My phone vibrated, indicating I got a text.

GiGi✨🌚 : Hey new friend!

Me : Heyy

GiGi✨🌚 : Whatcha doin?

Me : Chillin , how 'bout you?

I'm not up for that abbreviation stuff, that's for little kids to me tbh.

GiGi✨🌚 : Same, you should come to my family's cookout!

Me : When is it?

GiGi✨🌚 : Next weekend

Me : K

She never read it and answered so I guess she got busy. I shrugged it off and continued to watch Malachi play his game.

[August.]

"Aye Aug." Ace called as he dapped me.

"Was good?" I said as we walked to our boss' office.

"Nun much. Just fucking hoes." He smirked.

"Ya gonna end up gettin' a bitch pregnant and Imma laugh at ya stupid ass." I joked.

He smacked his lips,"Mane whatever. You just hatin'." He chuckled as I glared at him.

Ion like messin' wit broads, it's pointless.

Plus I haven't really been in the mood. My best friend, Cameron, fucking died. And I was right there, almost wantin' ta end my life right thea' too.

"Whateva' man." I said as we entered Boss' office.

"Yooo Bossman!" Ace smiled, trying to dap him.

"Nigga if you don't move whicha dumb ass." He growled. Ace quickly stood next to me and I laughed.

Ace my new partner since the Cameron incident. We knew each other since high school though so he pretty coo'.

"Sorry Boss." He put his head down.

"Alright niggas, here y'all go." He handed us the cocaine,"Y'all on the regular block."

We nodded and walked out. I made sure my gun was always in my pocket now, just to be safe.

We walked there but Ace seen a girl walk past.

"Hey shawty." He flirted, biting his lip.

"Oh hi." She smiled. They started to conversate but we still had a few blocks to go to get to our block.

"Ace, lets go man." I said. The girl looked at me and winked. I scrunched my face up and turned around.

A couple minutes past and we started walking again.

"Mane, don't do that shit anymore. We have money to make instead of trynna fuck wit' a broad."

"Fine, fine." He said.

I huffed as we reached out block.

Ace has a hoe problem.
