I stared at the abused, broken Loki. Everything about him reminded me of my brother, and sadly me. I moved a little and Barton's arm tightened on my neck. I placed my hands on his arm, trying to find room to get air in my lungs.

"Yeah, you say peace. But I kind of think you mean the other thing." Fury stated. Barton kicked my foot gently and I started to walk forward, him following. His grip on my neck didn't loosen.

"Sir, Director Fury is stalling. This place is about to blow. Drop a hundred feet of rock on you. He means to bury us." Barton said to him.

Loki turned to me and pressed the spear to my chest. I felt power running throw my veins until it reached my head. My mind went blank before orders appeared and my body relaxed. Barton let me go when he knew I had summited.

"The fair roads of all." Fury answered Barton. I went over to Dr. Selvig, looking at the monitor. Seeing that Barton was right about the collapse any minute.

"You are right, the portal is collapsing itself. We got maybe two minutes before this goes critical." Dr. Selvig said to Loki.

"Well then." Loki looked at Barton. Barton pulled out his gun and shot Fury. Dr. Selvig and I walked towards him as Barton grabbed the case. I stepped over Fury and pulled out my gun, moving to Loki.

Loki placed a hand on my arm, pulling me in front of him as I saw Barton pass Selvig the case with the tesseract in it. We got out of the elevator and vehicles were sitting there.

"We need these vehicles." Clint said to the agents. They nodded and moved away. Loki got into the bed of the truck and I followed, sitting next to him. Maria looked at me then Loki.

"Who's that?" She asked.

"Tell you later." Barton said, moving to the door. She nodded and started to walk away.

"Hill!" I heard Fury's voice. "Do you copy? Barton and Donovan are compromised." I stood up and started to fire at Maria, so did Barton, as she moved behind a crate.

"Barton, get in the truck!" I ordered him. He got in and I still fired at her as he drove away. Loki had hold of my waist so I didn't fall out. I sat back down and he looked at me with his broken blue eyes. I placed a hand on his cheek, smiling slightly.

"I won't let anyone hurt you again." I promised him. He gave me a soft smile, that reached his eyes.

"That would be lovely, my darling." He answered me. He looked behind me and suddenly was behind him as bullets started to hit him.

He blasted one car, causing it to block the others out. I stood up, holding onto the top of the truck, and saw another truck pull out in front of us. Barton started to shoot at Maria as the ground underneath us started to rumble. Then an image came to my mind and I turned back to Loki.

"Total destruction. I love it." He smirked at me.

The ceiling behind us started to come down and Barton drove us out of the tunnel. A helicopter started to hover over us and I held onto the bar on top of the truck as Loki stood up again.

He grabbed onto the bar and blasted the copter. I watched as Fury jumped out before it crashed and exploded. Loki and I sat back down and he leaned into me. I wrapped my arms around him as he placed his ear on my chest.

"I got you."
