I wonder why boys can't like me
But then I realize why
What I have to offer
Is nothing to them
Talent is more common these days
You can buy my hair color in a bottle
My eyes are only as special as their color
Blue is much too common
My legs are not thin
And my stomach is not flat
My face isn't flawless
And I understand that
But God
She had so much to offer him didn't she
A thin body
A happy soul
Someone to talk to
A taste in music like mine
And a hair color similar enough
Though no bottle could get it right
And with her there were friends
With me I had a guitar and a pen
And of course you didn't care
But I looked at you
With all the admiration in the world
But what did I have to offer against her
The answer was
A lot
But my offers were sad
But I would give it all to you
I pull give up my bad habit
I would give you my heart
I would give you my everything
I would let you hold me over the edge
Dangle me off our stage
Let me hang there
Suspended by your trust
I would put my hand under your boot
I would let you use me as a prop
But you were into her
So that I accepted
