One Night Stand

Chapter Five

It was lunch break again. The meeting's over. Lena decided to visit the COO's office and brought Adam lunch. She woke up early to cook lunch for him. Sa office na lamang nito sila kakain at ALAM na. But first she should ask him what's wrong, naalala niya noong matamlay ito kahapon. Sa opisina lang sila nagkikita, ni hindi na uli ito naligaw sa condo niya. Nagtetext lang ito kapag siya ang nauunang mag-text samantalang dati pa-tawag-tawag pa sya.

Everything changed after that lunch with her brother. Wala naman masamang ginawa si Riley as far as she's concern. Nangulit lang naman si Riley. There was nothing offensive with everything her brother said or asked. Behave pa nga si Riley sa lagay na yun e. Pero dahil hindi siya mapakali, she still asked her brother. Baka naman kinausap nito si Adam ng hindi niya nalalaman. Riley said no. Hindi na nga raw ito at si Adam nagkita after. She knew her brother that well to tell when he was lying or not. She knew that moment he was telling the truth when she wished he didn't. Mas okay yon. At least alam niya kung bakit ganoon ang turing sa kanya ni Adam. Hindi katulad ngayong nanghuhula siya.

When she arrived, wala si Jess, the secretary so she just went inside Adam's office and to her surprise, she saw a woman straddling Adam!

Her initial reaction? To run away. Her reflex? To stay. Hindi kayang iproseso ng utak niya ang nakita, gusto niyang tumakas ngunit ayaw gumalaw ng mga paa niya sa kinatatayuan.

The woman was wearing skimpy outfit suited for a slut. Well, she bet her ass the woman is. Nakababa ang strap ng damit nito. She was kissing Adam.

"Eherm.." Hindi niya alam kung anong gagawin kaya umubo na lang siya para malaman nilang naroon siya at kitang kita ang ginagawa ng mga ito.

Agad napatayo si Adam pagkakita sa kanya. "Lena.." Pero ang slut? Parang tukong kumapit sa leeg ni Adam, pinagtaasan siya nito ng kilay at mataray na sinabing,

"Who the hell are you?"

Lena cross-arms. Pinagtaasan niya rin ito ng kilay. "Shouldn't I be the one asking you that?"

"Well, I'm Trish. Adam's girlfriend." This Trish made sure she took note of the last words and she did. Hinintay niyang kontrahin ito ni Adam. But Adam just stood there as if he did not care. Jerk. Gusto niya nang umalis don, magtago at umiyak.

Pero hindi siya papatalo. She is Helena of the Ilanos clan. Her name's the cause of Trojan war. Hindi siya basta-basta.

"Adam did not tell me that she has a girlfriend." Matalim ang tinging ibinigay niya kay Adam. Naaasar siyang parang wala itong pakialam.

"Well, now you know." Nagmamalaking sabi ng Trish.

"And I think.. Trish, right?.." Binuksan niya ang Tupperware ng Caldereta. "You should chained your boyfriend. Baka makawala at makapaminsala." With that, itinapon niya sa pagmumuka ni Adam ang Caldereta.

"Sht! Dmn Helena!" Sa wakas ay nagreact ito.

"Are you out of your mind?!" sita sa kanya ni Trish. Hindi nito malaman kung paano tutulungan si Adam. "Are you okay, Adam?"

"Nice meeting you, Trish." Lena said before walking out. Hindi siya tumigil o lumingon sa kahit saan until she got to the parking lot.

Sht kayo! Magsama kayo! Go to hell for all I care!  She wanted to yell those to their faces. Sht ka Adam! Niloko siya nito. He has a girlfriend pero kung makaasta sya parang wala. May papunta-punta at patulog-tulog pa sya sa condo ko. He's such a jerk! He's an asshole!

Still..

Dapat ba talaga siyang magalit kay Adam? Wala naman itong pinangako sa kanya. Kusa niyang binigay yung sarili. Ni hindi siya nagtanong kung ano bang meron sa kanila. Ni hindi niya inalam kung may girlfriend ito. It was partly her fault. But she's not all to blame! He made her assumed there's something between them!

She drove away from that hideous place. Nakalayo na siya ng building nang hindi niya na kayanin ang sakit. Itinabi niya ang kotse at pinagpupukpuk ng kamay ang manibela. God, she can't even move a finger para paandarin ang kotse. She's shaken up.

"Dmn you, Adam.." for making her feel like sht. Ang tanga-tanga niya. Hindi niya na napigilan. Sumubsob siya sa manibela and burst out into tears. "I hate you Adam.. I hate you.."

How dare him make her feel this way. Who dare him make a fool out of her. Ang sama-sama nito.

She should've not trusted him. She should've listened to her warning bells.

Ang sakit ee. Ang sakit.

That was her state of mind when she heard a knock on the window. She saw a necktie and a coat. Pati pabango para itong si Adam. Kung hindi niya lang naalala na binuhusan niya ng Caldereta si Adam, iisipin kong ito iyon.

Pinalis niya ang mga luha gamit ang likod ng palad. Then, she lowered the window glass.

Sumilip ang lalaki sa bintana. "Miss, are you alright?" Smooth complexion, tantalizing brown eyes, thin red lips like of babies. That was the man whose face 5-inch away from her. "Miss.."
