Chapter 13

Aphmau's POV

I ran through the streets, sobbing heavily. Everyone stopped to ask me what was wrong, but I didn't stop. I needed to find Garroth, and fast. Eventually I found him. His face turned to shock, and then concern when he saw me. Running into his arms, he wrapped me in a hug before he spoke.
"By the heavens! Whats's wrong Aphmau?" He asked as soon as I was able to speak.
"He's gone."
"Who's gone?"
"Malachi. He ran away!" I I exclaimed, still sobbing. I love that kid, he's my kid, even if not biologically, I love him like he were.
"...What?" Garroth was shocked, like I was. "How do you know?"
Without saying anything, I showed him the note. It read:

Dear Mom,
If you are reading this than I am not here now. I'm running away, until I am able to control my visions. That way you won't have to send me out like my last parents. I will come back when I am ready and I will make you proud. I hope you are okay living without me, I'm sure you are. You would have one less problem to deal with. Tell Garroth and Levin goodbye for me. Please don't try to follow me. I hope you can understand why I made this decision.

"What will we do?" I asked.
"...We'll go after him."
