Austin's POV

"It's been too long since I've seen you." Alan said over the phone.

"I know, it's only been a day but I miss you like crazy," I said smiling.

"A day too long."

"How'd you sleep last night?"

"Fine I guess. How is it there? Are you settled in?"

I looked around the common room, "It's boring but yeah I'm settled in just fine. I just miss my princess."

"I miss you too." He said, "Oh and one thing."

"What?"

"When I get out of here... There might be another thing in the apartment when you come home."

"What do you mean there might be another thing?"

"We're getting a cat."

"We are?"

"Mhm. When I get out Kellin and I are going to the shelter. I've always wanted one and I need a cuddle buddy since you're gone."

"Alright," I said. "What are you going to name it? Oh I want one too! Get me a cat we can have two!"

"If it's a boy then Felix, if it's a girl Sophie. So should we just get a boy and girl?"

"Yeah, but make sure they're fixed unless you want them to have kittens one day."

"I don't know. Do you have any names in mind?"

"I like the ones you have picked out. They're cute."

"Okay good."

"So does this mean that there is a good chance we might get kitten one day too?" I asked, I can handle two cats but I don't know about getting a whole litter of kittens one day and knowing Alan I doubt he'd ever let us sell any of them.

"I don't think we could handle kittens."

I sighed in relief, "Okay thank god."

"Were you thinking that same thing?"

"Yeah and if we did have kittens you'd want to keep all of them and I don't think I would be able to handle that."

"Yeah. If I get us two girls what do you want the others name to be and also like another boy name too. Just in case."

"Uh," I stopped and thought about it for a second when it came to me. "Nala. If it's a girl Nala and if it's a boy still make it Nala."

"Aw that's a cute name."

"It's the best name ever."

"I like it."

"Good because that needs to be the cat's name. We can have Sophie and Nala. Or Felix and Nala."

"I'm glad. I can't wait. What color kitty do you want?"

"Ginger."

"Really?" He asked.

"Yes, I want an orange tabby."

"I guess I'll try and find one."

"Good," I said smiling. I don't know if he's even realized it or if he's just ignoring the whole ginger Nala thing. But it's cute nonetheless.

"Do you want it to be a boy or a girl?"

"Girl. But it can be either."

"Okay I'll look and it'll be named Nala?"
