The survival show had featured 12 of the companies trainees until episode 8 when I.M was added. The members were chosen 50% by audience votes and 50% from judge votes. The final seven members debuted under the name MONSTA X, which means My Star since 'mon' means my in French. Their name signifies the emergence of a monster who will dominate K-Pop.
