CHAPTER 34 (ANG PAG-AALIS)

MARINA'S POV

Nakiramdam muna ako bago ko idilat ang aking mga mata. Ayoko ko siyang makita na aalis, gusto kong magising na wala na siya, na umalis na siya. Naudlot ang kakaisip ko ng may kumatok sa pinto agad kong idinilat ang aking mga mata ng narinig ko ang boses ng mama ni Adam.

"Iha, gising ka na ba? Pwede ba akong pumasok?" tanong niya at dali-dali akong bumangon sa kinahihigaan ko at napansin kong wala si Adam.

"Sandali lang po," sagot ko at agad-agad akong nagbihis

I grip the doorknob and I greeted my morning.

"Sorry po at natagalan," I apologized and she just wave it

"Ayos lang, alam ko naming," hindi na niya ipinagpatuloy ang sasabihin niya and she laugh heartedly.

"Did you have a good sleep iha?" she asked and I nodded my head

She walks through the balcony and give me gesture to follow her and I instantly walk into her direction.

ADAM'S POV

Hindi na ako nagpaalam sa kanya. Hindi ko kayang tingnan ang mga matang tila hindi ko matanggihan ngunit kailangan kong gawin ito. Hindi naman ako magtatagal sa pagkakaalam ko. Nagpaalam na lamang ako kay mama at papa, nakita ko sa mga mata ni mama ang lungkot at saya.

Flashback

"Adam hindi ka na ba mapipigilan?"tanong ni mama na tila iiyak na.

"Ma"

"I know, I know that this is what you want. But kailangan mo pa bang iwan si Marina dahil lang diyan? I mean come on son you'll getting married and were not getting any younger anymore. I want to see my son marrying such a woman like her," she said while wiping her tears away using the back of her hand.

"Lucia hun, Adam does not just run after that," father said that makes my mother frown in confusion

"What do you mean?" she asked while giving us both a questioning look

"Adam wants to be an actor," he directly said and my mother look shocked covering her mouth to prevent whining.

"Actor? I mean why? I thought you just want to be a bachelor?" she whispered yelling

"I'll talk to her son you'll be late on your flight"

"Mom I want to talk to you," I said as I look at my father and he instantly understand what I meant.

"I'll be at the kitchen," he said

Mom and I was the only one left and I started talking to her.

"Ma hindi ko kayang magpaalam sa kanya and I wish na ikaw nalang ang magpaalam sa kanya para sa akin," I said and she nodded her head understanding me

"What about the actor thingy Adam? Please answer me now, it curious me now," she said whispering even though we can't be heard

I took a deep breath before answering her I took it slowly till she understands why I want this.

"How long you'll be gone?"

"I signed a contract and it's about a year. A year only mom and I'll be home"

I can't help but to stare at her picture on my phone and I smiled at her childish face that I took. I did not sleep that night, no, I can't sleep that night because I'm busy memorizing every details of her beautiful face. I even took a picture of her while sleeping.

LUCIA'S POV

We were now sitting at the balcony while sipping our coffee and eating a slice of bread that I prepared a while ago before calling her.

Hindi ko alam kung paano at kung saan ko sisimulan ang sasabihin ko, kaya mas pinili ko nalang na diretsuhin ang totoo.

"Iha, umalis na si Adam," I directly said and I saw her face turned sad

"And that is not only the reason why would he left," I said and her head quickly turned to me

"Ano pong ibig niyong sabihin?" she asked worried on her eyes

"He wants to be an actor I know I know it's kinda questionable. Me too I was shocked, I was speechless about why?" I said

"Actor for how long? Is that his dream?" she asked and I just nodded my head

"About a year but he will keep in touch with us. Hindi na siya nakapagpaalam sayo dahil hindi niya kaya. Kaya sa akin nalang siya pumunta at gusto niyang iparating na mahal na mahal ka niya at pagkabalik na pagkabalik niya ay magpapakasal kayo," I said and she smiled that doenst reach her eyes

I can see that she seems not comfortable now and I hold her hands.

"Wag kang mag-alala, babalik siya at hanggang hindi pa siya umuuwi dumito ka na muna total ay pamilya ka na namin. At hindi kami makakapayag na aalis ka at titira na mag-isa mas mabuting dumito ka, para alam naming ligtas ka at nakakain ka ng maayos. Naghihintay ako ng apo alam mo na," I laughed to changed the atmosphere in the air and she smiled and I can see her blushing

"Maraming salamat po Ma," she said and that melted my heart

"No. Thank you for coming on our lives," I said and I was surprised when she stands up and embrace me that I let out a laugh and returned her gesture.
