CHAPTER 24 (A MAN WITH NO WORDS)

ADAM'S POV

She's already leaving, I quickly pulled my phones out of pocket and dialed his number and within just a second he immediately answered.

"She's going back," I said as soon as he answered my call

"That's good to hear," he plainly answered

"So what do you plan next Adam?" I asked curiously

"I don't have plans Scott. What made you think that way?" he chuckled

"I don't know," I answered shrugging

"I just wanted to know if she is totally leaving," he said quickly and I nodded even though he can't see it.

"Thank you for spending your time checking out," he added and I welcomed him and bid our goodbyes.

Could this day get any worst? I am so damn tired answering, fixing the questions here. I run my hands through my hair when suddenly the door slowly opened and my father entered.

I was surprised that he visited me yeah I know this is his company and I was just handling this for a mean time.

"How are you son?" he asked in a happy mode

"I'm okay," I answered and I know he doesn't believe me

"You can't lie to me, why so stress son?" he asked while he took a sit in front of me

"This thing keeps me stress," I said as he looks at the papers scattered at my table

"Let me help you with that" he said and I decline his suggestion

"No dad Im responsible with this besides I'm here to learn on how to handle this company," I said and he laugh at me cause me to frown

"Learning like this is good but you know son not all the things like this helps you learn," he stated and I slightly frown

"What do you mean dad?" I asked and he took a glance at the window

"It took me a long years after realizing what your grandfather told me and this time I should not waste some time to tell you this and please son use my advice it'll help you a lot and to those people around you"... he said and look at me

"Being a married man can help you from this and if you already have children helps you too. You can run this company smoothly and passionately son and it will become successful, because being a man with a family helps you to feel what our employees felt. You will be wealthy ofcourse but most of all...you my son will be a respectful man with success and dignity," he said and a smile slipped on his lips

"Note that dad, thank you," I said and I stood up and pulled my father with a hug he look surprised but he returned the gesture.

"I heard from your mom that you will be soon gonna get married?" he asked between our hug and I pulled out to answer him

"Yes and I want you to meet her," I said excitedly and he looks like sad and happy

"I really wanna meet her and she's already welcome to our family," he said and I can at his tone that there is something's wrong

"What's wrong dad?" I asked and he shakes his head

"You can't lie to me," I said returning on what he had said to me a while ago and he chuckled

"You really have my manners," he said in a throaty chuckled

"Genetics," I said and we burst into laugh

"Okay okay enough now," he said as he wipes some tears at his eyes due to our laughter

"Son do you remember what you had told me when you were a young man?" he asked and I nodded

He stayed quite and I'm all ready intrigue I know there's bothering him.

"I have talk to my old good friend and he said he can help you on your dreams to become a successful bachelor man... I know you are getting married but this would help you, for the both of you planning for a family," he said and I look at him straight in the eyes sinking the words that he had said.

"Give me some time Dad," I said and he smiled

"Take your time son take your time," he said as he glance his wristwatch

"Ohhh no I'm going to be late, I had promised to your mom that I'll be joining her for dinner and I bet that if I'm going to be late at this time I'm gonna heard her wisdom words again irritating." he added and acted like disgusted

"Then what are waiting for dad, leave now before mom gonna rush in here and throw you some of her plates," I laughed and he joined in

"Goodbye now son message me if the two of you are already coming to our house. Okay?" he said as he grabs the doorknob

"Okay dad hurry now and take care of driving," I said and he give me a genuine smile before closing the door

Parang napaos na kandila akong napaupo sa swevil chair ko. I placed my hand to my chin and think of what my father had said earlier.

I was in deep thinking when my phone suddenly rang it was an unknown number ngunit sinagot ko parin ito baka kasi importanteng tawag ito.

"Hello," the other line answered and my heart skip a beat I have known that voice.

"Hello?" the other line again said and I was pulled out of my thoughts

"Hey" I answered and I heard him chuckled I cant help myself and I laugh at my words saying hey to the person that you misses is like saying why did you call after hundred years? I thought you were dead?

"Adam how are you?" he asked and I chuckled for I know his mocking me

"Where are you?" I asked instead answering him

He told me where he is and I told him I'm gonna go there and he agreed. Is dad know his here? How can he never tell me if he already knew it. Well maybe he didn't want to say it and his gonna use again his corny surprises. I laugh as I remember his epic fail surprises he accidentally blurts it out his surprises and the reason is, he is just too much excited.

I got my coat and headed out from my office excited to see him again.
