"Twilight, Dr. Wetson and I have reached the security room. There's two security guards here keeping an eye out of the premises. Stay hidden til I tell you to come out," I heard Franky say to Mr. Forger through their headpiece. Twilight? Why did that name sound so familiar?
"Understood, thanks Franky," Mr. Forger then turned to face me, resting a gentle hand on my shoulder. "Once Franky gives us access we will be able to infiltrate and locate exactly where Anya is,"
I nodded, I was determined to go back and rescue Anya.
"If it's not too much to ask... why does Franky call you Twilight?" I ask curiously. Mr. Forger chuckled as he began taking a pin out of his pocket. It had an eye and various small engravings surrounding it. He carefully placed it on my hand.
"I'm sure Anya has told you already that I am not her biological father, I adopted her solely for the purpose of my mission. You see Damain, besides my family, no one else knows this, but I'm actually from Westalis." Mr. Forger said smiling. My eyes widened at the realization, for years people of Ostania talked about the Westalis people infiltrating our country, everyone was always in fear of meeting Twilight, the best known-
"spy...." I whispered. This explained so much, why Anya was obsessed with spies, why Mr. Forger always had this aura to him, why he was always at the right place and the right time.
Father had always found Twilight to be an immediate problem, though it seems Mr. Forger had the upper hand, father didn't realize that he has meet Twilight countless of times. In fact, he doesn't realize his son is dating his worst enemy's daughter.
"Yes, son. I trust you will keep my secret safe, if not for me, then for my family," Mr. Forger replied. This must be a very vulnerable time for him, of course I plan to keep this secret safe. He has done nothing but support me.
"Of course, Mr. Forger, I plan to take it to my grave," I said smiling. "This does explain quite a lot of Anya's tendencies..." I chuckle. Mr. Forger began smiling as well as he scratched the back of his head sheepishly.
"Ah, yes well, she's always been an eccentric little girl. I didn't know what to do with her in the beginning if i'm being completely honest. I mean she punched you the first day of school," Mr. Forger said a crease forming on his forehead as he began reminiscing of the past. A blush began forming on my face as I remembered the small pink haired girl. It had been my fault for taunting her, however when she came to apologize to me, I realized I didn't hate her, in fact she helped change me and realize what Father was and is doing is absolutely wrong.
"It's true she is a very interesting... character, but nonetheless, she is an incredible person who I learned to appreciate a little too late. I promise, once we get Anya out of here, I will cherish her til my last day on this Earth," I said looking at Mr. Forger straight in the eyes.
The fact that I am saying this to Twilight, Westalis best spy, The man of a thousand faces, Loid Forger, Anya's papa, I am willing to put my life on the like for her, but will he believe me and entrust his daughter to the son of his enemy?
