It was time for our first lesson of the year. After getting Percy tacked up I walk him with Abbie to Arena 12 where everyone was waiting.
I saw a few familiar faces, including Vanessa, Camille, Ben, Alora, Jessica, Raphael, Isabelle, and a dirty blond haired boy I didn't know.

This year since Mrs. Sophia becomes head trainer then we got a new one, who hadn't arrived yet. Right now everyone was chatting.
"Hey" Isabelle walks up with her horse who was a brown Appaloosa.

"Hey Lauren" she says. "I was walking away after you went to tack up your horse, when I realized I didn't get your phone number."
"Right, remind me after practice" I say.

"Hello everyone, I'm Ms. Robert's your new trainer. This year I will be going off by how your old trainer Ms. Rose used to train you, by my putting you into teams."
She holds up a clip board, "Vanessa, Camille, Raphael, Amira, Abbie, and Alora. For team two we have Jessica, Isabelle, Lauren, Atlas, and Ben. Then here's our team captains... since I'm new to the group I'll watch you for the rest of the week to see who I believe will be best." She puts down her clip board. "Now I want you all to go with your team and work on trotting and cantering, tomorrow we'll start with jumps."

"How was riding?" Renee asks.
"Good" I say as I take a bite of my cookie as I looked over my math homework.
"How good?"she asks me.
"No snarky comments" I answered.
"That's good" she says.
In about a minute she asks, "so... any plans for after we graduate this year?"
I set down my pencil biting my lip in through, "I don't know... I guess I technically have to take over Jameson Company... I haven't really given it that much thought..." it was partly true, I didn't really think of any other alternatives. But I did think about inheriting the company, every day.
"Wanna take a break from homework and go do something?" Renee asks.
"Swimming?" I ask.
"Yes!" She says. "You should invite Abbie! And Amoy."
Nodding I pull out my phone.
Me: wanna go swimming?
Abbie: where at?
Me: schools outdoor pool. It's by the dorm houses, there's a giant sign.
Abbie: sure, see you in 15 minutes!
Me: see you!
I text Amoy.
Me: Swimming?
Amoy: sure, I just got done with basketball practice!!!!
