I Can See You (Songfic)

But what would you do if I went to touch you now?

Why can't I just get Ren out of my head! Martyn wondered, and he ran his fingers through his hair. He's not for me.

But his treasonous thoughts betrayed him.

Suddenly, Martyn noticed a small shape flying towards him over the wall.

That I could see you throw your jacket on the floor

It was a messenger bird, not only that, but it was Ren's.

I could see you in your suit and your necktie

It dropped a piece of paper into Martyn's hands, and he quickly opened it as the bird hopped onto his shoulder with a soft cooing noise.

Passed me a note saying, "Meet me tonight."

Martyn stared down at the message his heart immediately sped up, and his thoughts spun out of control.

Then we kiss, and you know I won't ever tell, yeah
And I could see you being my addiction
You can see me as a secret mission
Hide away, and I will start behaving myself

He gathered his thoughts (literally) and reached up his hand to steady the bird as he stood up. He felt a light squeeze on his shoulder before the bird took off, sweeping off into the sky. Martyn knew that the bird wouldn't have to go far to reach Ren, so he picked up his pace, running now, to follow it.

Martyn turned the corner and raced out of Dogwarts, following the bird like his life depended on it. He slowed to a stop when he heard a voice talking softly just on the other side of the bend, and Martyn found himself leaning up against the wall and trying to listen in.

"You gave it to him?" Ren spoke in a kind voice full of affection, and Martyn could only assume that he was talking to his bird. "Good job, sweetie."

Martyn chose to now pop around the corner to see Ren with the bird on his shoulder and a smirk on his face. For once, Ren was without his cape and crown, and the fact that it was just himself that Ren was showing to Martyn made the blond want to kiss the king right here and now. It was only through very impressive self-control that he was able to stop himself. Ren seemed to notice his struggle, and he grinned, raising his eyebrows, which caused Martyn to blush as Ren beckoned him over.

"Hello Martyn." Ren spoke, his voice low and soft.

"Ren." Martyn said, dipping his head in recognition.

"Why are you here?" Ren asked softly, and a thousand reasons flew through his head at once.

"To see you." Martyn responded, and Ren nodded, taking a step closer so that they were only a few centimetres apart.

"But why do you want to see me?" Ren asked, and Martyn got the feeling that Ren had known what he had been thinking about him this whole time.

"Because- Because I love you." Martyn stuttered out as he turned red in embarrassment.

"Ah." Ren said as Martyn stared into his face. "So that's why." He suddenly took off his sunglasses, revealing his eyes to Martyn for the first time.

They were the most gorgeous share of blue, and Martyn felt himself getting lost in them as Ren grinned, reaching up to cup Martyn's cheek. Martyn's eyes flicked down to Ren's lips, then back to his eyes as the king laughed, guiding Martyn's face slowly closer.

Ren leaned in and kissed Martyn, drawing the blond close with a smile Martyn could feel. Martyn reached up and finally got to run his hands through the hair he found so tempting. Ren detangled one of Martyn's hands and held it close to his cheek, and Martyn pressed his hand to Ren's face. The two pulled apart, and Martyn was grinning like an idiot and when he opened his eyes, he could see Ren was blushing too.

"I love you, Martyn." Ren whispered, kissing Martyn's cheek. "Always have."

I love this duo so much, but I have no idea what their ship name is. I've just been calling them Dogwarts Duo. Hope you liked it.
