CHAPTER EIGHTY SIX

"EON JIN AND SU JIN"

Days after...

You're so pretty, Lady Su Jin..." Princess So Hee said. Su jin let out a small laugh. "you're much prettier than me, Princess So Hee..." She said. So Hee blushed then she smile. "When we're done let's go and meet the Crown Princess,  I'm sure you and her will be friends..." So Hee said. Su Jin let out a small smile. "I saw her when I step here in the palace... She's pretty just like you,  Your Highness.." She said. So Hee put down the book and look at her. "She's also kind,  Lady Su Jin." So Hee said. "And I feel you are too... Just like the Crown Princess,  you are kind and pretty inside and out." So Hee added and let out a sincere smile. Su Jin blushed, "Did I?" She said. So Hee happily nodded. 'Then why he still doesn't like me?' In Su Jin's mind.

Su Jin went outside from Princess So Hee's chamber to get some fresh air while waiting for So Hee who fell asleep in the middle of their study. She stop from her walk when she saw Eon Jin in the middle of the garden busy on planting plants and flowers. Su Jin smile and gather some courage to approach Eon Jin but when she's near the entrance she saw someone hiding on the tree who is secretly watching to the Crown Princess. "Who are you?" She asked.

Lei startled when Su Jin speak. He turn around to face her and he accidentally drop the hanky on the ground. Su Jin saw the pink hanky fell on the floor and she saw the initial E.J on it. "I was just passing by here." Lei said and he immediately pick the pink hanky on the floor and he immediately leave the place. Su Jin look at him from a far. "His accent is different from korean..." She said.

Wol Sook heard them and she immediately walk towards to where the voices is. "What are you doing here, Lady Su Jin?" Wol Sook asked. Su Jin look at her and let out a small smile. "Ah.. I'm just looking around and ended here." She said as she scratching her head.

"Oh hi,  Lady Su Jin... "Eon Jin said when she approach them. Su Jin let out a small smile and show her respect. "Where's Princess So Hee.?"Eon Jin asked. Su Jin smile, "She fell asleep while we're studying, Your Royal Highness." Su Jin said then she let out a small laugh. Eon Jin let out a small laugh too. "She never change... She's always like that." Eon Jin said. "Please be patience with her. But she's a good and sweet girl."She added. Su Jin smile as she nodded. "Yes, Your Highness..."Su Jin replied.

"Are you free? Can you join me and have some tea?" Eon Jin said. Su Jin hesitate first but she nodded. "Ofcourse,  Your Highness... " Su Jin said.

Su Jin is silently observing Eon Jin while they're having their tea at the balcony near the east side of the palace. She's graceful and full of charm,  In Su Jin's thoughts. Eon Jin pour some tea on her glass and Su Jin startled, "It's okay... Don't think of me as the Princess." Eon Jin said. "You can act and talk freely infront of me." She added. Su Jin smile. "Thank You,  Your Highness.. "She said. 

Eon Jin is smiling while looking at her and she is thinking if maybe she can introduce her to Joo Meok when he came back here to the palace. She's gentle and kind, In Eon Jin's thought.

"Can I know why you're smiling like that,  Your Highness? "SuJin asked. Eon Jin put down her cup of tea on the table. "Nothing... Can I ask you a question? "She said. Su Jin nodded, "sure what is it, Your Highness?" Su Jin said. "Uhm.. Are you seeing someone?" She said. Su Jin got startled as she choked. "I'm sorry if I ask you that... I'm looking for someone for my brother." Eon Jin said. "I find you so pretty and gentle..." She said. Su Jin let out a small laugh because she and the Crown Princess are a like. They're both never afraid to tell what's on their mind. "I bet you have already a special person in your life... I can see it through your eyes,  Lady Su Jin." Eon Jin said and drink her tea.

Su Jin took a deep breath before she speak. "Yes you're right,  Your Highness... " She said. "He's a very good looking guy and kind." She added.  Eon Jin smile because she saw how she get blushed when she said it. "But... His heart is close because of someone..." Su Jin said and look to Eon Jin's eyes. Eon Jin frowned, "Oh! It's a one sided love..." She said. Su Jin didn't speak.

Eon Jin suddenly remember Woo Sung and her smile faded. Until now, she felt guilty towards to Woo Sung. "Can I give you an advice, Lady Su Jin?" She said. Su Jin nodded. "When you give someone your whole heart,  and he doesn't want it... You cannot take it back and it's gone forever." Eon Jin said. Su Jin look at her. "Unrequited love is the most painful kind of love..."She said. "I hope that someone will open his heart for you and will love you back." She added. Su Jin smile and feel her sincerity in her voice. "That's why I'm here,  You're Highness..." Su Jin said. "What do you mean?" Eon Jin asked. "I want to get to know the person who owns his heart. I want to take the key from her. Because I want to heal that person who's getting hurt because of her." She said. Eon Jin look at her with puzzlement.

Su Jin take out from her sleeves the painting of Woo Sung and gave it to Eon Jin. Eon Jin open it and got shocked when she learn that it was Woo Sung that she's talking about. I know this is impossible but I fall inlove with him before I met him." Su Jin said. "Its crazy but I saw him in my dreams. And since then,  I couldn't forget him. I told myself that I'm going to find him and make him mine." She added. Su Jin observe her reaction while Eon Jin is silently listening to her. Su Jin let out a deep sigh before she speak again. "But, I just learn that he already inlove with someone else." Su Jin said and her smile faded while looking to Eon Jin straught to her eyes Eon Jin give it back to her then she smile.

"I'm not an enemy nor rival,  Lady Su Jin." She said. "I know you want me to ask if what's between us. I saw it in your eyes." Eon Jin said. Su Jin look away and she try to smile. "Woo Sung oppa and I are bestfriend since then. Maybe my role in his life is to be his friend."Eon Jin said.  "I don't want him to get hurt because he's my bestfriend. However, my heart belongs to someone else... And that is Tae Pyung the Crown Prince." Eon Jin said. "I'm sorry if I cause him so much pain but I couldn't teach my heart whom to love. The Crown Prince owns my heart ever since and Woo Sung oppa knew it too." Eon Jin said. "We're not destined to be with each other as couple. Maybe because there's someone is much better than me for him. And now, I know who's that someone is." Eon Jin said and let out a sincere smile.

Eon Jin smile sincerely and hold Su Jin's hand. "I'm so happy to know that finally he already met that someone and that is you,  Lady Su Jin." Eon Jin said. Su Jin's eyes filled with tears as she keep listening to Eon Jin. "Just be patient to him and I know someday when he's ready to open his heart again... He will see how lucky is him to meet you." She said. "Your Highness.. " Su Jin unknowingly called her. Eon Jin smile.  Su Jin tears slowly fall from her eyes. Eon Jin take out her hanky on her sleeve and give it to Su Jin. Su Jin look at to it. "Give this back to me if you're ready to open your heart to me as your friend. I want to be your friend,  Lady Su Jin." Eon Jin said.

When Eon Jin left, Su Jin wipe her tears and then she smile while looking to Eon Jin's handkerchief. "You're pretty inside and out,  Your Highness... Me too, I want you to be my friend.. " She said. She got surprised when she saw the initial on the hanky. 

'Oh?! E.J?? ' In her mind.

Su Jin recall the man that she saw earlier. The man that hides on the tree and secretly watching the Crown Princess. "Who is he? Why he has the same handkerchief just like to the Crown Princess? " She said.
