Part 13: No Power? 💀

Two other similarly dressed individuals walk away and towards a different spot in the bank. Other people who seemed to work at the reserve didn't notice the casing individuals, who blended with the small groups of people walking. They quietly stepped towards a small maintenance alleyway and stepped down a few stairs.

There was a small and hidden area with little lighting, but it had the same insignia on their clothes, though pixelated due to it being a hologram. "1-1, we reached point Alpha. Starting recon." "Affirmative." An invisible MAICD flew out of a hole in the spot's roof and commenced a full scan on the facility. It showed five floors, all filled with hostiles.

There were two floors underground and three at and above surface level, the vault being in the bottom most floor. 2-1 marked a path for 1-1 and 1-2 to follow, and then entered a security backdoor in the side of the building and then rode an elevator up. A drone created by the CROS was manning the security system there and was then promptly shot with a thaumaturgic beam from an M6 accelerator rifle.

A few minutes earlier, the armored hovercar had taken a camouflaged path to a side garage in the reserve, 2-1 and 2-2 in the front seats. The car's back was filled with storage units for CROS currency and items, which were scanned as the vehicle entered the side garage. Turning to his left, 1-1 saw a security guard perform an ID scan. The guy immediately moved back upon realizing that the driver was different.

He was immediately shot with a 25mm thaumaturgical stealth beam from an M134 autocannon, blowing his head off. About seven other security guards in the room, seeing one of their colleagues get his head blown off, quickly drew their own CROS-made rifles and opened fire. 1-1 and 1-2 hopped out of the car and equipped their armor while under fire.

The two of them, armed with heavy rotary autocannons, immediately turned their fire onto the security guards firing at them. The M134s ripped through and immediately disabled their body armor, causing two of them to immediately get gibbed [blown up]. The remaining four ran to cover and were then met by an experimental thaumaturgical particlethrower.

Acting similar to a flamethrower but spitting out enchanted high-velocity clouds of accelerated and explosive particles, it shredded through the cover of one guard, destroying a few objects and immediately killing the guy. 1-1, who was using the particlethrower, swapped back to his M134 and turned towards another guard,

He fired a short burst, which blew up the pillar he was hiding behind and then blew the guy up. The dude was left crawling and with literally no legs from the explosive power of the M134, and 1-1 then threw a grenade at the guy. It exploded and cratered the floor around him, leaving almost nothing of the guy. The last guard opted to shoot through his cover, which failed due to him hiding behind a toppled armored box stack.

He quickly decided to peek from cover, then having his mind and horizons expanded by 1-2's rotary gun. The garage was now full of corpses from the security guards that were previously there, and 1-1 responded to the call 2-1 had put out earlier. Now, 1-1 headed towards the door leading to the main area.

2-1, having killed the drone, noticed a comms device fall onto the ground. A voice speaking the CROS' language asked if the drone was alright. 1-1 picked up the pager-like object and responded, mimicking the drone's voice. "I'm fine." "Alright, have a nice day then." The operator replied, and 2-1 hung up the device.

"Be advised 2-1, we're going loud on this one." "Understood, 1-1." 2-1 replied. 2-2 turned to their left and saw some angled-down windows, walking towards them. "What is i-" 2-1 paused, noticing the windows directly overlooked the main first floor, about 80 feet separating the windows and the squeaky clean-looking stone of the ground floor. "Alright 2-1 and 2-2, you there?"
