It was family day at the base, most of the Commanders were helping with setting up decorations and booths for the day with some help from their Kansen. Among these were Marga and Yamato (SBY) who were currently coordinating with Andy's Kansen to put up decorations that needed to be much higher than any of the ladders and humans could reach.
Marga: "Alright, a little to the left US." she instructed, "Just make sure nothing scrapes as you lower it down."
United States: "You got it Commander!" she saluted.
Marga: "Yamy!" she called.
Yamato (SBY): "Y-yes Shikikan?" she asked.
Marga: "I need you to make a run to the Supply Depot, we need a bit more rope for the banners." she instructed.
Yamato (SBY): "Y-yes Ma'am." she saluted, "I'm on it."
Yamato (SBY) walked off, trying to not make herself known as she walked past many other, much more confident Kansen who were showing off a little for the Press and the Families that had arrived early. When she finally made it to the Depot, she quickly made her way inside and grabbed as much rope as she needed, but before she could finish, another figure walked in and tapped her on the shoulder.
Yamato (SBY): "E-EEP!" she yelped, surprised.
Missouri: "Calm down kid." she giggled, "It's just me."
Yamato (SBY): "O-oh, Missouri-Sama." she sighed, "You frightened me."
Missouri: "I heard from Marga that you were here to collect some ropes, I figured I'd help my Junior out." she said, ruffling Yamato's hair.
Yamato pouted at Missouri until the older Space Battleship stopped, allowing her to fix her hair. But the Space Battleship was grateful for the help and thus allowed the American to help her with the rope. On the way back to the area, the pair of Space Battleships striked up another conversation.
Missouri: "So, I realize you and I haven't exactly seen each other eye-to-eye yet." she started off, "So, I'd like to change that and start talking to my fellow Space Battleship."
Yamato (SBY): "Ok..." she said, timidly, "...how do you wanna start talking?"
Missouri: "Well...let's talk about Commanders." she suggested, "Your Commander seems like a nice person. How's she?"
Yamato (SBY): "Oh, she's an amazing person." she replied, fondly, "She's new, a little timid, and she still needs to learn a bit but she's learning pretty quickly."
Missouri: "Sounds quite a lot like what my Commander was like when he first started and I was still a normal Fast Battleship." she chuckled, "Alex was much more confident and even a little cocky but not all people are the same I suppose."
Yamato (SBY): "Yeah," she giggled, "from what I hear about Commander Andy he is quite the gentleman with a bit of a temper."
Missouri: "You can say that." she said, "I remember when I first met him after we did a battle trial against his fleet. I remember that he was a fair sport and was rather graceful in accepting his defeat."
Yamato (SBY): "From what I hear, he could be quite petty whenever he wants to." she pointed out.
Missouri: "Oh no, not petty, vengeful." she corrected, "If you wrong him in any way shape or form he will find a way to pay you out."
