it was now the end of the year and wills had decided he wanted to be chairman of the Christmas prom committee so my dad took the boys to go get suits i followed along because i wanted to see what neil would look like in a suit

we pull up to the suit shop and Simon starts to question dad about if this is the best place to get a suit
"it looks abit old fashioned" neil comments making my dad turn to look at him disapprovingly
"neil the stuff in here never goes out of fashion it's timeless"
jay tells us that he has already bought a suit before dad tells us that he has done it with mum in one of the suits he got from here making me groan in disgust
"alright we're going in" simon says not wanting to hear any more
will steps out of the changing room in the most awful suit i have ever seen
"oh yes very nice" the owner says it will very confident about his work
"i'm not too sure about the lapels"

"they are a little bit too jazzy yes" will confirms
simon then steps out of the changing room next to him in the same suit as will just in a different colour
"oh yes very nice" the owner repeated to simon
"very nice" i tease my brother as neil and jay laugh from next to me
"i think it's kind of hideous" simon says rather rudely
"too jazzy?" the owner questioned simon nodded in response as the owner then turns to neil "and for you my young friend? should i find you something also?"
"i suppose so. but i need something special yeah? something that's gonna make me stand out?" neil nods at him
"i will find something extra special for you" he then walks off to a different part of the shop
jay then complains about will not letting him dj but simon speaks up saying he's part of his plan to seduce carli
"what's he gonna do hold her down?" i question making simon pick up a hat from the hook next to him and throw it at me to which i just pick it up and put it on neil's head and he smiles down at me
"you know i get breathless every time i think of her and when i see her my heart does little flips" he says rather sappy if i do say so myself
"are you bent?" jay clearly thinks the same as me
"shut up!"
"it's just that right then you sounded realy bent"
"wont her boyfriend be there?" will interrupts jays and simons mini argument and simon turns to him asking him what he said "you know her boyfriend the massive rugby player"
"oh him, yeah, no i don't think there going out or if they are then they arnt really well i don't know but they never really say they definitely are so maybe they arnt" simon rambles on making me scoff at him
"sure that is the most positive way of looking at it even if it is delusional"i say
