38~ Some fun rituals

" Hamare joote kaha hain, Kaju?"

( Where are my shoes, Kaju?)

Shiv asked Kajal.

" It was near your mandap-"

" Its's here.."

Everybody look at the source of voice which cut off Kajal in middle. It was Kabir, holding Shiv's shoes.

" Hand the shoes to Jamai-sa, Kabir."

Malti said to her son. Kabir walked toward nearby couch and sat on it.

" Nope. As my sister does not have any sister, so someone had to do jooth chupayi rasam. Bohot saale-sahab karte hain na aap Jija-ji, chaliye dijiye ab apne saale ko neg.."

( Now give your brother-in-law present.)

Kabir demanded which left everybody shocked. Like, he was not supposed to do this ritual. Bride's sister does this. Dev and Aadhya chose to enjoy this playful moment while sitting together on couch.

" Aye! we are not going to this, saale-sahab. Give me my shoes.."

Shiv said and Satya raised her eyebrows amusingly when Kabir denied. Malti was about to go and take shoes from Kabir from Shaurya stopped and whispered to her-

" Let them bicker. Its fun."

She passed her husband bombastic side eye.

" Chaliye ab note giniye, Jija-ji aur hume kuch rakam do apne jooto ke liye."

(Count your money, brother-in-law and give me some.)

Kabir said. He seems in playful mood. Shiv look at Satya, gestured her to help him but she denied by shrugging her shoulders and easily took herself out of this matter. Shiv look at Kajal.

" I told you already that this man will do something. Now see, how he stole my shoes. Why didn't you hide my shoes."

Kajal thinned her eyebrows.

" But I thought tou don't have any sister-in-law so our way would be clean. I did not know he will steal your shoes."

Kajal reason out.

" Its alright, I can ask for another shoes."

Shiv said with winning smile. Kabir nodded then grabbed Satya's hands and pulled her beside him on couch.

" Go without my sister then."

Now, its getting more fun. 

" Huh! Your sister won't stay with you."

Shiv said proudly but-

" Aise nahi hain, hum nahi jayenge jab tak aap hamare bhai-sa ki ichha poori nahi karenge."

( I won't go until you fulfill my brother's wish.)

Shiv blinked his eyes and wondered why he has to bear these type of problems alone.

" Now give me money, or gold chain can work too."

Kabir demanded.

" Dekhiye!"

( Listen!)

Kajal stepped forward and put her both hands on the either side of her waist. Kabir look at her with little raised eyebrows and Shiv thought that now Kajal will help him but-

" Ji kahiye.."

( Yes,)

Kabir said to her and she blinked her eyes several times. Don't know what got into her mind suddenly that she stepped back.
