Frea had a special ability to see things that others did not.

The world she saw was different.

To her, people seemed to be wearing faintly glowing clothes.

The clothes were usually colorless.

Only when the person's emotions were clear did the light take on color.

Emotions in the positive range are usually colored gold.

Negative emotions are black.

A person's emotions changed when they encountered the person causing them.

Sometimes a person could be alone and still have colors flow through them.

If they were very excited, or if they were alone and contemplating their hatred of someone, they would change color.

But she had never seen a form like that man.

His robe of light was colorless.

Only the top of his head was black.

'I've never seen anything like that.'

"Allow me to introduce you. He is Priest Marku from the Temple of Herm. He will be joining us on this pilgrimage."

The archbishop introduced the middle-aged man.

The priests marveled.

The Temple of Herm served as an enclave for the most devout priests, devoted solely to traversing the path of the seeker.

Once they entered, they never emerged, completely detached from the world.

Even in death, they found their final rest within its walls.

"As you know, the priests of Herm only follow the will of God. I cannot delve into details here, but Father Marku has experienced a revelation, and this pilgrimage will be dedicated to the glory of God."

Frea frowned.

'A revelation? Not a warning?'

The Archbishop's tone deviated from the usual, unsettling her.

It carried an oddly inciting quality.

'What should I do?'

After a moment of hesitation, Frea gave up.

'No one will believe me.'

Backing out of the pilgrimage was not an option, especially when she had insisted on going.

'The knights are accompanying us as an escort, so it shouldn't be an issue.'

No one would dare challenge a group of knights bearing the royal banner.

Considering the circumstances, it would be fortunate if she wasn't dismissed as delusional, let alone believed.

Whenever they embarked on a pilgrimage, the royal family ensured they had a knightly escort.
