CHAPTER 52

VIKRAM’S POV….

FLASHBACK….

We took Saanvi home as I don’t want to be in that hospital environment. I know that if she lives at her house then her body will heal. I appoint a nurse at home so that she could be able to take care of her 24*7. 

I didn’t take her to Khanna Mansion, I took her to my penthouse because she will be safe there and I don’t want Bhabhi to get allergic due to Saanvi’s medical treatment. So just for safety, I shifted here. I am feeling guilty for taking her here, alone in this penthouse but I will shift her back to our house when her body wounds will recover. 

I also appointed a doctor who will live with us so that he could monitor her. I don’t want to leave her alone so I’ve decided to join the office after 1 month. I installed cameras here due to her safety and appointed bodyguards from one of the top agencies so that after her recovery, they will be with Saanvi.

She did open her eyes but did not say anything to anyone. I wanted to inform them about this but they will get tensed as her Baba had an operation and her grandma’s health was not so good either. So just for the sake of their health, I didn’t inform them. 

Currently, I am sitting beside her and looking at her. Her head is covered with bandages. Her leg and hand got fractured. Her face turns black and blue, her body becomes so timid that I for once forget to recognize her after her operation. 

Doctor just monitored her and said that she would react if she wanted to otherwise we could just pray only. I dismissed both doctor and nurse for a while because I wanted to be with her. It all happened because of me. I should have been more careful that night. I should have taken her with me. I should have told Alaya about Saanvi. I am the reason behind this state and I could not be able to come out of this guilt. At least not in this life! 

She is sleeping due to a medicine overdose so she won’t be up until tomorrow morning. I can’t share the same bed with her. What if she gets hurt again because of me? I can’t even go to another room, what if she needed me in night. Although I know she won’t get up but from last 2 days she is not able to sleep due to pain. It’s been 5 days she face that situation. Police caught Raunak and I know Sameer will handle the case as he is the criminal lawyer. 

“Saanvi, please talk to me. I know it’s my fault and I deserve punishment but please don’t punish yourself by not talking with anyone, by not reacting in front of us, by looking at us with dead eyes. It scares me.” I said and a drop of tear fell down on her hand which I wiped instantly and kissed her hand. 

“Saanvi, take your time as much as you want but trust me, one day will surely come when I will see you as a cheerful lady again. One day will surely come when I will sit on my back and you will punish that bastard with your own hands.” 

“And I am waiting for that day. You just give your life another chance. I promise you, I will rectify all my mistakes. It’s my promise Saanvi.” 

FLASHBACK ENDS….

I again sit beside her, holding her hand as she is sleeping peacefully. It’s 3 am and I can’t sleep thinking how brave she is to fight with a psycho killer. There are so many shades of Saanvi that I am seeing slowly-slowly. I am so proud of her that I couldn’t help but hug her that day. I was happy, beyond happy actually. 

It’s been 10 days since that scene happened. Before Raunak dies she gets unconscious. I knew that was going to happen so I took her to our home ‘Khanna Mansion’ so that she could take some rest. 

Mom and Dad panicked when they saw Saanvi unconscious and in my arms. After I made her lay on the bed, I just informed them that she just got tired and was sleeping. I can’t tell them anything.
