Maddie and Claire have a secret

"Girls let's go, hustle up. You should all run in here, wanting to be first." Abby said

We all walked in and got into our line

"All right, so Energy Dnace in Waterford, Michigan. Again, you were second. Any other teacher would probably think, overall, high score, second place was wonderful." Abby said

Kelly interview:

"I think it was a gift from God getting second place with that number."

"And now the pyramid. On the bottom, Paige and Brooke. Once again, you're still on probation. You never came to me and said, hey, can I enter my solo?" Abby said to Brooke and Paige

Abby interview:

"I thought they would come to me and say, please, let us do our solos. Could you ask the lady if you can write them in? Nope, it never happened. They don't want to do the work to win, but they don't want to lose, either. So what do they do? They bail."

"Brooke, you should want to do that acrobatic routine. It was beautiful." Abby said to Brooke,"Next Nia. Nia, you did a great job on your solo. You made the top 10. But pay attention to the technique. Apply your corrections. You don't always do that. Next, we have Cassandra. You just haven't been dancing, and in the group, it wasn't that good. Next, I have Chloe. Chloe, great job in the duet. Came out. Your back leg was up on the arabesque. You fixed your problems. You had a good weekend. Next on the pyramid, Maddie. Maddie you had an outstanding solo. You did a beautiful duet. Next, we have Mackenzie. She won the overall high score and was crowned Petite Miss Energy Dance. Lets give her a round of applause. And on the top of the pyramid was Claire. You went out there and did an amazing routine that I was scared you would forget. And you also won."

Everyone clapped for me like they did Mackenzie. I was super happy about being back

"I'm proud of Claire. She has overcome this small injury."

"Abby this is ridiculous!" Christi said

We all kinda looked at her in awe.

"Christi shut your mouth," Abby said already fed up

"No because how is Claire on top? She shouldn't be on the pyramid at all! She wasn't supposed to dance at that competition not once. And you throw her in there ruining Nia's chances of winning!" Christi yelled back, "This is not what we signed up for!"

"Please be quiet," Abby said

I just tried to block the noise out of my head. Which didn't work

"Christi, let's not talk about this right now." My mother said

"Then when should we talk about this favoritism to Claire and Maddie? Cause neither you nor Melissa will talk about it!" Christi yelled

"Enough!" Abby yelled which seemed to quiet Christi down, "This week we will be attending Star Power in Woodbridge, Virginia. This is the largest dance competition in the United States. I'm excited about the group dance. I've been preparing it for weeks. Mackenzie, you proved that you're not a baby anymore. You must be advanced enough to be in the group dance. I'm not watering down the choreography. You'll be expected to do what everyone else does. Maddie, you will be doing a routine called "Looking for a Place Like Home." It's a little spin on there's no place like home, a modern-day version. Claire, you're doing a solo, it's called "All By Myself." and it's a pretty lyrical number. Consider it a welcome back. Chloe, you will also be doing a solo. Your solo is entitled "What Goes Around, Comes Around." Abby said
