Lily looked at Marlene and grabbed the vile from her outstretched hand
"Marls- this- I- oh merlin!!" Lily said as she smiled
"I know" Marlene said softly
"Wai- Marls are you not happy about this?!"
"I- I don't know Lil-i mean i-
Lily stood up and held Marlene's hands in her own before looking her in the eye
"Take it from someone who's experienced this feeling before......I know it's hard to understand but its the best thing that could happen"
"I know Lil! Any other time I would be thrilled but we are in the middle of a war! What am I supposed to do about that?!"
"Marlene! You cannot live in fear! The war is the exact reason you need to find every reason to live! You have too!"
"I hate when your the voice of reason"
"I know you do" Lily said with a chuckle as Marlene ran her hands over her face
"I can't believe it" Marlene said with a soft laugh
"I'm gonna be a mum! I'm pregnant!"
Lily squealed and wrapped her arms around her making Marlene laugh and embrace her a knock on the door tore them apart
"Hmm- I'm sorry to interrupt but it's getting kinda late and Marls we kinda need to get home"
"Yes! Yes we should get home- it is late" Marlene mumbled as she nodded at Sirius
"Write to me" Lily said winking as Sirius' figure retreated down the stairs making Marlene shush her
After saying goodbye to the Potter's Sirius and Marlene walked down the street, Sirius a few paces ahead of her
"Sirius" Marlene said softly to which Sirius hummed in response as he tried to light a cigarette
"Do you ever think about kids?"
Sirius chocked on his cigarette at the words as he turned around to face her with wide eyes
"I- I mea- one day-may- I" he sighed
"I have.....but we're in the middle of a war Marls it would be a little inconvenient i-
"So not right now?"
"No not for awhile atleast" he answered as he turned back around to which Marlene only hummed as she fell into step with him
"Have you?" He asked as he took a drag from his cigarette
"Same as what you said" she mumbled quietly
Sirius held her hand in his and turned her around to face him
"Marls what's going on?"
"Nothing! I was- we've just never talked about it" she said
"Okay"
Marlene let out a squeals as a cold drop fell on her head making Sirius chuckle as he tossed his cigarette to the side
"Sirius!!" Marlene yelled as she tried to pull him from his place
"Dance with me Marls!!"
"Sirius it's bloody freezing you loon!"
Sirius only laughed as he pulled her close to him as the rain fell around them
The pair stood in the rain swaying to music only they could hear while quietly laughing and teasing each other
When they finally made it back to their flat they were drenched from head toe
Sirius watched as Marlene made him and herself a cup of lavender tea, now dried and changed, he watched as she softly hummed a song, he watched the way her curls fell softly in beautiful waves of blonde, he watched as his t-shirt fell loosely on her yet hugged every curve so perfectly
He walked up behind her a wrapped his arms around her
"Kitten......i want kids....but only with you.....when this war is over I promise we'll run away to anywhere you want and then we'll have as many kids as you want!"
"What if its alot?"
"I don't care as long as its with you! One condition though"
"What's that?"
"I want a daughter! Atleast one......I want her to have your hair and not mine.....for her to have eyes like yours and to be able to hex the living shit out any of the boys she brings home"
Marlene let out a laugh and turned around to face him
"Well I think she would have your eyes.....I hope she does" Marlene said softly as she wrapped her arms around his waist
"I love you Marls......after this war.....we'll have our happy I promise" he said as he kissed her head qnd grabbed his cup of tea and hers before walking towards the sofa
"Don't make promises you can't keep my love" Marlene said softly as she followed him
