Marlene walked through platform 9¾ exciting moving through the crowd
"Marls!!"
Marlene chuckled as she saw the joyful redhead everyone knows run up to her with a smile
"Lily Evans!!! I missed you!!"
"Oh my good lord!!! Your accent!!" Lily said gasping as she pulled away from the blonde
"Yea I know it's gotten a little Scottish-
"A little!?! A LITTLE!! Marlene if I didn't know better I'd think you were related to Jamie Wood!!"
"Well they do live down the street''
"OKAY GET OUT ARSE OUT THE WAY YOU FLITY SNAKES!! I HAVEN'T SEEN MARLENE AND SI- a-a-and Lilyflower how have you been!!?? I missed Oh your hair's looking really goo-
James Potter pushed through the crowd kicking a few Slytherin's on his way, his eyes visibly brightening as he saw Lily Evans
"I'm gonna go meet Remus in the prefects compartment now" Lily said rolling her eyes as she climbed into the train
"I-i- Evans!.......Marlene!! Oh!! Marls how I missed you!!" James said pulling Marlene into his arms
"Missed me?!? Up until two seconds ago you didn't even see me!" Marlene said pushing him off
"How dare you!! I have been worrie-
"Shut up James!!" Marlene said together with a familiar voice
"Mia!!"
"Oh! Oh! Oh! Marlene!! I missed you!" Euphemia said with a smile hugging Marlene
"I missed you too Mia!!!"
The sound of the the whistle blowing caught their attention
"Oh best be off!" Mia said smiling as Marlene boarded the train and waved goodbye
Marlene walked through the carriages till she met a very busy Remus Lupin
"Into your compartments!! Get in!! Go on!!" Remus said chasing some second years into their compartments
"How very prefect like of you!! Looking to be head boy eh remmy??" Marlene said with a teasing tone
Remus looked with a huge smile as he walked up to her and pulled her in for a hug
"I missed you Marls!!"
"I missed you too Rem!!"
Together the two of them made their way to the Gryffindor compartments
Marlene slid the door open and was greeted with a loud screech
"Marlene!!! OH how I've missed you!!" Alice said hugging her
"I missed you too AL!!"
Everyone settled into their seats and exchanged their stories of the holidays , halfway through which Lily and Remus left to go to the prefects compartment
After the feast the group of sixth years made their way to their common room
"Has anyone seen Black??" Lily asked
"Fortunately no" Remus said softly
"Lily flower!!" James said standing in the middle of the common room
"Oh no!"
All the second years and up groaned as they were used to James' attempts of wooing Lily
The first years stood amused as they watched James give a long drawn out speech about love
"And my love for you is as eternal as the waves in the night sky!! My heart for you it beats and for you alone!!One day you watch and see!! I'm gonna marry you" James said
"SHUT UP Potter!!"
"James....it's been six years mate....time you gave it a rest don't you think??!" Frank said with a chuckle
"Well I think you should keep trying Jamie one day it'll work out!....love always does " Alice said softly
"Speaking of working out.......did you hear about Black and Mcdonald??" Peter asked as he lit a cigarette
The common room turned absolutely silent as Marlene looked around as everyone else shuffled uncomfortably
"What??........what happened between Mcdonald and Black??" Marlene asked as James shook his head
"You might want to sit down" Lily said softly as she made her way toward Marlene
