Sirius was very much not calm at the moment he was in the common room his leg nervously tapping against the floor his hands were shaking 

It was after curfew he'd seen Marlene at dinner but she seemed to be in a world of her own 

There were billion thoughts running through his head , he came up with different excuses and what to tell her

The door opened and Sirius expected to see Marlene but instead in strolled the fluffy white cat

The cat seemed to walk into the room oblivious to anyone's presence and made it's way to the sofa and sat down in front of Sirius looking up at him

Sirius picked it up in his arms and held it to his chest closing his eyes listening to it purr

Sirius' eyes flew open when he felt a weight on lap and someone's forehead against his own

"I knew it was you" Marlene mumbled looking up at him Sirius tightened his grip on her waist holding her close to him

"I know you did.....I figured it out when I cornered you that other day but I wasn't sure"

Marlene held his face in her hands and looked into his eyes

"I'd recognize those eyes anywhere" she said softly

Sirius looked at her before his hand held her chin in place

"Fuck it"

Sirius crashed his lips onto hers and felt a thousand sparks going off

Marlene's heart was hammering through her chest his lips were softer than expected , the kiss was gentle soft and gave her butterflies

"I wanted to do that since second year" Sirius mumbled as he pulled away

"Really" Marlene mumbled against his lips

"Yeah"

"AHHH!! MY EYES MY EYES!!! GET AWAY FROM HER SIRIUS!!!" James yelled jumping in between the pair effectively making Marlene jump to her feet before he took her place

"Ja-

''NO!! MARLENE IS OFF LIMITS!!" James yelled and Sirius glared at him

"Well I'm going to bed" Marlene said and bolted up the stairs

James crossed his arms and looked at Sirius

"Mate i know it's meant to be intimidating but it's hard to act scared when your fat arse is on my lap!!" Sirius said and pushed him off

James held his hand to his chest letting out a gasp and an offended look

"I'll let you know I have a fine arse Sirius Orion Black the THIRD!!"

"Sure mate!!"

"Wait your both going to pretend like nothing happened??" James asked as Sirius walked to the stairs

Sirius shrugged in response and continued walking up the stairs with a grumbling James following him

The next morning Sirius and Marlene avoided each other again

If there was one thing about Marlene McKinnon was that when she ate she ATE!!

But that morning seemed to be taking a particular turn , Lily eyed Marlene as she tossed the food around in her plate

"Marlene??" Lily asked softly trying not to catch the marauders attention
