Sometime between Harry going off to school and Sirius dying

The kids had come back to Grimmauld place for a 2 week break they arrived yesterday
Sirius was sat in his old bedroom door ajar and without thinking to much he banged the wall above his headboard
"Wake up Reggie!!" He randomly yelled and when he didn't get the usual response he always got realization hit him
A knock on the door pulled him away from his thoughts
"Come in" he said and sat up the door opened and Harry, Hermione and Ron walked in
"Hi um sorry but we were wondering if we could talk?" Hermione asked
"Sure make yourselves at home" Sirius said with a smile
"What'd you want to talk about??"
"Well it's just when you dropped me off last time you kinda mentioned something and I couldn't stop thinking about it and Hermione said there was more to it an-
"Marlene McKinnon" Ron said cutting Harry off Sirius sighed and slowly nodded his head
"We were wondering if maybe there was more to her and you??" Hermione asked in a voice not higher than a whisper to which Sirius let out a chuckle
"It's okay you can ask" he said and looked at the trio
"Marlene McKinnon and I...... where do we start" he said with a sigh

Marlene McKinnon sixth child of muggle Malcom and pureblood witch Melissa McKinnon
The McKinnon's are a family of nine 6 boys and one daughter
Malcom II 18 , former Gryffindor currently auror in training
Michael 16 , 6th year Gryffindor and beater for the Quittich team
Matthew 15 , 5th year Ravenclaw and prefect
Marcus 14 , 4th year Gryffindor and seeker for the Quittich team
Mason 13 , 3rd year Hufflepuff and chaser for the Quittich team
Marlene 11 house yet to be determined and excited to start first year
Marvin McKinnon 6 years old and patiently waiting for his letter which should arrive anytime now
McKinnon manor was down the road from Potter manor and the two families were close friends
Fleamont and Euphemia Potter or Monty and Mia and their son James as or as Mia says " Rascal of the century" and then proceeds to smack him upside the head while Monty laughs
