Sirius stared at Marlene intently watched as she stared at the night sky

"What are you doing up??"

"Couldn't sleep"

Marlene put out her cigarette and tossed it over the edge before leaning against the railing

"If I shouldn't be out at this hour why are you?" She asked looking at him

Sirius sighed letting out a puff of smoke

"They won't go after me" he replied and turned to look at her

"Did I do something wrong??" Marlene asked a little louder than a whisper as she picked at the lose splinters of wood on the railing

"Wh-

"When we were together?? Did-was it only because.........because you wanted to sleep with me?? I mean when you told me you like me was it because you wanted to sleep with me"

Sirius tossed his cigarette before turning to face her

"Do you think that??" He asked his brows furrowed as he looked at at

Marlene didn't say anything she just stared at him almost immediately wishing she didn't because of the intensity of his gaze

"Merlin! McKinnon! Damn it do you really believe I would do that to you??!" He asked

"I don't know okay!! I don't know what to believe"

He ran a hand through his hair and let out a sigh before walking a few paces away from her

"I don't want to Sirius!!"

He flinched she rarely used his name and the way she just did made him wanted to audibly scream telling her not to

"It seems like that's exactly what your doing!! What was it huh!!? A dare of sorts or just another name to your own list??! What was it let's nail McKinnon??!"

Sirius scoffed his hands balling into fists

"I should have listened bu-

"DAMN IT MARLENE!!! Do you really think I'm that shallow??!! Do you really think I would do that to you?" He asked turning around to face her

He was angry and visibly shaking as he walked closer to her

"I don't know!! I don't What your trying to do??!! And you know what i-i gave you something I can't ever get back!! Because I thought you actually like me!!"

Sirius let out a dry laugh before looking at her

"Isn't it obvious Marlene..........I like you!! I fucken like you that's why this is so hard!! I've trying to figure out what this is!" He said pulling at his hair

"By avoiding me in every way possible?"

"I-i thought that if I did long enough maybe I wouldn't feel the way I do......but the more I'm trying to stay away it's hurting you......and i- I don't want to be the person who hurts you"

Marlene looked up at him and shook her head before putting space between them

"Then why don't I believe you"

Sirius watched as she turned to walk away

"I really fancy you Marlene" he said as she was about to walk down the stairs

Marlene scoffed before looking over her shoulder

"You already used that line" she said and turned back around
